Zayn Malik is 'not happy' that Gigi Hadid is dating Bradley Cooper
Gigi Hadid's relationship with Bradley Cooper appears to be rubbing her ex-boyfriend – and the father of her child Zayn Malik the wrong way.
“Zayn is not happy with their relationship and never will be,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of We weeklydays after Hadid, 28, and Cooper, 49, were photographed holding hands during a rare moment of PDA in London on Jan. 25. (Hadid and Cooper have been romantically linked as of October 2023.)
The insider says Us that Cooper has been “a voice of reason” for Hadid, as she co-parents daughter Khai, 3, whom she shares with Malik, 31. Cooper knows a thing or two about amicable exes, as he has daughter Lea De Seine , 6, shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shaykwith whom he was in a relationship from 2015 to 2019.
“He's down to earth, and his [advice] comes from his own personal experiences,” the source continues. “Bradley warned Gigi that there is a difference between a healthy divorce and a toxic one.”
Hadid dated Malik for six years from 2015 to 2021. News of their final split came after Malik was charged with four felony counts of harassment following an alleged altercation with Hadid's mother. Yolanda Hadidin October 2021. Malik pleaded no contest at the time and denied the allegations.

While Malik remained tight-lipped about the incident, save for a few statements on social media, he did speak out almost two years later.
“I knew what happened, and the people involved knew what happened,” Malik said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in July 2023. “I just tried not to talk negatively back and forth with her. [or] any kind of story online that my daughter would go back and read.
Malik and Hadid shared custody of their daughter after their divorce. During the same podcast interview, the former One Direction member made it clear that Khai's happiness is “the most important thing” in their lives.

While the duo keep their daughter out of the public eye and shield her face when posting photos on social media, Hadid has spoken about how coparenting has made her become more “conscious” in her modeling career.
“I work when my daughter is with her father, and that is the time I have,” she said in a September 2023 interview with NET-A-PORTER. “I will literally fit in as many jobs as possible those days. I'm a crazy person sometimes, but if it means a lot to me, then I'll do it.”
Hadid added: “The jobs I want to fill that time with have to be jobs that fulfill me,” she told the publication.
