Cat Izzo opens up about her controversial behavior on the Bachelor in paradise beach.
Kat, 27, started working on it Instagram on Monday, November 13 to show how fans have reacted to her time on the show. “It’s hard to be open and vulnerable on reality TV. It shows that we, like everyone else, make missteps in life,” she wrote alongside a number of photos of herself during filming. “We are all real people, and I apologize if my actions on the show inadvertently hurt others. In the unfiltered lens of reality TV, where vulnerability is both a strength and a struggle, it reminds us that as humans we will inevitably make mistakes along this unpredictable journey.”
Kat continued: “Sharing our lives with the world takes a toll on our mental wellbeing. This is a call for understanding and kindness, not as victims or villains, but as people on the journey to discover our own stories. Let us recognize our shared vulnerability as humans and encourage growth, learning and understanding as we deal with our imperfections.”
Her colleague BiP stars included Blake Moynes, Jess Girod, Rachel Recchia, Kylee Russell And Mercedes Noordup Kat supported in the comments section.
“I’m with your cat,” Blake, 33, wrote, while Jess, 24, added: “I love you.” The other women all commented on heart emojis.
While members of Bachelor Nation supported her, some fans shared different opinions. “I’m all for showing grace and understanding when someone apologizes, but your comment did not take any responsibility for ‘your actions’ but was a blanket apology for mistakes people make and you apologized ‘if’ you hurt someone,” one user commented. Another commented: ‘You’ve earned the title of villain. Too late now.”
Throughout season 9 of the show, which premiered in September, Kat has been causing a lot of drama on the beach. We initially hit it off with her Brayden Bowerswhich previously appeared on Charity Lawsonseason 20 of The bachelorettebut she changed her focus when new suitors arrived.
When Tanner Courtad When he came to the beach, he asked Kat out and she accepted – without speaking to Brayden, 25, beforehand. After the date, Brayden told Kat that she made him feel “cheap” and “hurt.”

Kat continued to interrupt Brayden during their conversation, who she claimed was “arguing” with her.
In the next episode — which happened to be Kat’s birthday — Tanner, 30, was asked out on a date by David Bos by Zach Shallcross‘ season 27 of The Bachelor.
Through tears, Kat stated in a confessional that she was no longer interested in Tanner. ‘I saw what I needed to see. I want someone who wants to go the extra mile,” she says. “Tanner is a selfish individual. You literally said yes [to the date] before you talk to me. This shows me that you don’t even consider this a real “king thing.”
She went on to express her emotions on a piñata. “I just want to hit something,” she said.
After dumping Tanner, Kat expressed interest in John Henry Spurlockwho he previously interacted with Olivia Lewis.

Olivia, 25, asked Kat to talk about the situation and revealed she felt “super disrespectful” because Kat didn’t come to her first before making her decision.
Explaining her perspective, Kat said, “I just didn’t really feel like we had developed a friendship that I needed to come to you. I’m closer to the other girls and if this was one of them I would absolutely tell you.
Olivia then held her hand in Kat’s face and told her to “move with real intention” before walking away.
John Henry, 31, ended up giving his rose to Kat that night, while Olivia received a ‘friendship rose’ from Brayden.
