DaniLeigh – mother of rapper DaBaby's child – sentenced to five years' probation after drunk driving arrest in 2023

Singer and influencer DaniLeigh has reportedly been sentenced to five years' probation after she was arrested for drunken driving in an alleged collision that seriously injured one person last year.

The shadow room reports that DaniLeigh will begin his probation on February 1. This will continue until January 31, 2029.

It is not known if DaniLeigh was placed on any other probation conditions. According to the site, she was represented in court by Michael Catalano.

DaniLeigh – real name Danielle Leigh Curiel – was taken into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Miami International Airport around 8:15 a.m. on May 30, 2023 after allegedly attempting to flee the scene of the crash.

She was charged with three felonies, including leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and injuring a person while driving under the influence, arrest records show.

According to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com, DaniLeigh, who started her career as a backup dancer, allegedly speeded and swerved in Miami Beach early in the morning before hitting a motorist on a moped.

Officers administered a breath test after detecting the odor of alcohol during the stop, which resulted in a BAC of 0.148 – almost twice the legal limit.

The victim was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, including a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture.

She was released on a $9,500 bond.

The incident comes two years after the Miami-based singer, who shares a two-year-old daughter with controversial rapper DaBaby, made headlines for an altercation involving her ex.

She was charged with two counts of simple assault related to two incidents in November 2021, when DaBaby – real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk – called police and claimed she attacked him.

Officers were initially called to the property on Sunday, November 14 and no arrests were made, but returned the next day after the rap star filed a second domestic violence claim.

DaniLeigh will be attending the Model Experience Los Angeles Fashion Week Festival on March 12

At the time, the rapper took to Instagram to livestream himself trying to kick his ex-partner out of his North Carolina home, saying he was recording her “for his safety.”

DaniLeigh later shared her own video of police officers responding to DaBaby's call on social media.

She can be heard in the clip telling viewers that the Rockstar rapper tried to kick her and their daughter, who was three months old at the time, out of the house.

“It's so unfair this situation because this whole time I've been nothing but honest with this man and I've tried, tried, tried.”

“Nothing but genuine, pure love for this man from the jump,” she told police.

DaniLeigh was first linked to DaBaby with DaniLeigh in 2020 when she appeared in his music video for Levi High.

She is the daughter of Vicky Curiel, the CEO of International Hub Records in Miami, Florida.
