The Hollywood star – who turns 81 in July – said: “I’m probably enjoying filmmaking more now than I ever have.”

Earlier this year, Harrison revealed that he “always wanted one last chapter” in his Indiana Jones story.

The veteran actor has played the titular character in the money-winning film franchise since 1981.

Harrison told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’ve always wanted a final chapter in the story. We first started thinking about it a few years ago.

“My ambition – all our ambition – was to come up with a story that dealt with the reality of his age, because he had such a physical character.

“I wanted to see him diminished and revived through whatever the storyline was and whoever the characters were. And when we got the story that felt right for everyone, we moved on.”
