How do I use the McDonald's app?

Fans of MCDONALD'S don't have to queue at any of the chain's restaurants to get their fast food fix.

Instead, they can use the McDonald's app to order food in advance, ready for pickup at a drive-thru or delivered to their table.

This means you can simply wait in one of the click-and-serve bays for it to be delivered to you or collect your order directly from the counter.

And when you visit, all you have to do is share the generated code from the app so an employee can scan and verify it.

But the benefits of downloading the McDonald's app don't stop there: customers can also order food directly to their home.

All you have to do is choose your food, place your order and wait for a delivery person to arrive.

McDonald's works with Uber Eats and Just Eat for McDelivery, so someone from those apps will provide the delivery service to your address.

The handy app is also a good way to make sure you don't miss any of the latest deals, as there's a whole tab dedicated to discounts.

The app has several features that can help you save time when ordering and get discounts on selected products.

How to use the app

The app can be downloaded for free on both IOS and Android.

Once you have it, you can sign up with a McDonald's rewards program account.

Through the app you can browse the latest menu available at the restaurant.

It's an easy way to stay informed and order on the go because it works anywhere you have internet.

In the morning, you can access the breakfast menu options until 11am, when breakfast is ready and lunch begins.

Before ordering, you must choose the restaurant where you want your food prepared.

After the first time, the app will remember your previous locations and should highlight the last restaurant you were picked up from.

If you're going somewhere else, make sure the right restaurant is selected as the app will automatically fill in your location when it opens.

After this you can view the menu items and add them to your shopping cart.

Once you have done this, you can confirm your order and go to the restaurant.

When you have arrived, confirm this on the app and select the collection method.

You can set a payment method in the app that you can also save and use every time.

You will not be charged until you arrive at the restaurant and select a pick-up method.

In addition, you can select your favorite items using the star button next to each product, making it easier and faster to rearrange your favorite meals.

Additionally, the app allows you to customize orders just as you normally order.

You can remove things you don't want in a burger and add extras.

The only problem is that the app doesn't allow you to pay with cash.

Collecting your order

Once you have placed your order, go to the selected one restaurant.

Make sure your location services are turned on as the app will recognize when you are near the restaurant.

If you have arrived and the app does not recognize where you are, click the 'I am here' button.

After you have indicated yourself, you decide via the app how you want to collect your food.

If you choose the pick-up option, you will have to go inside and wait for your order number to appear on the screen.

If you choose drive-thru, you must say your name from the order in the designated lane.

At the drive-thru you don't have to touch your phone while parking, so you don't have to worry about an order number here.

Or you can opt for the click and serve option, which means you have to park in one of the specific lanes, each of which has a number.

You then enter those numbers into the app, after which an employee will come to your car with the order.

Alternatively, you can use the table service option and tell the app the table number you are sitting at.

The staff will then do the rest as normal and you can enjoy your meal.

Offers offered

In the rewards and offers category in the app you will see all available offers.

For example, users can receive offers including free medium fries when making a purchase.

But keep in mind that the offers are subject to your local McDonald's taking part in the offer.

Any discount or freebie offers must be added to your order before you confirm it.

Please note that offers are not automatically discounted in the shopping cart. You must add the offer to your order or you will pay full price for the item.

However, you can only get the discount through the app, so you won't find the same prices if you go to a branch or order via UberEats or the like – they can set their own discounts, though.

Order on Monday

Every Monday the app has a large number of offers where you can make money.

However, you must order it via the app and collect it from the nearest McDonald's before 11:59pm on the day.

In the past, McDonald's has offered triple cheeseburgers and quarter pounders for £1.09 in its exclusive Monday offer.

Moreover, there is something new on the program every week.
