Proud dad Mike Tindall called today 'absolutely the best day of my life! So happy', when his daughter Mia Grace was born ten years ago.
And ever since, Zara and Mike's eldest child has been making people happy.
From her proud parents to her loving grandmother Princess Anne and her adoring second cousins Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, Mia has become a popular and beloved member of the family.
Who can forget Annie Leibovitz's enchanting portrait, taken in 2016 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday? She may have been surrounded by seven of her great-grandchildren, but it was mischievous Mia, who stole Her Majesty's famous Launer handbag, who stole the show.
Princess Anne made the decision not to give her children, Zara and Peter, royal titles, hoping that this would give them a more normal and carefree childhood.
And it's the kind of life Zara also wants for her own three children. Mia may be 22nd in line to the throne, but as we can see from these photos, she's also admirably bold and pristine.

Red headbands
Mia and Mom have matching long blonde hair and both use Alice bands to keep it in place. During the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee in 2022, Mia opted for a piece with red flowers, just like Zara wore as a little girl.

Country girls
If you're the daughter of a horse-crazy mother, you should expect to spend much of your childhood in the fields. Zara enjoyed many weekends dressing up and having fun at horse trials and now it is Mia's turn.

Dog lovers
Princess Anne was so obsessed with horses and dogs that the Queen famously joked that her future children would be “four-legged.”
Zara had a close bond with her late grandmother and is seen here with one of her famous Corgis at the 1985 Windsor Horse trials.
In 2017, Mia took her boxer dog Spey to the horse trials at grandma Anne's house in Gatcombe Park.

Unbound by royal protocol, both Mia and Zara have been able to showcase their boisterous and exuberant personalities, whether they were battling their parents (Zara) or cheering on the jockeys at the Cheltenham New Year's Day races (Mia).

Summer days

Church on Sunday
Like her mother, Mia may be a tomboy at heart, but she loves to dress up when the occasion calls for it, such as the family's traditional Christmas visit to church in Sandringham.
Zara wore a smart reading coat when she went to church with young Prince William, while her daughter wore a maroon coat last month and a very stylish gray Gucci coat the year before.
