Paige DeSorbo totally agrees Captain Lee Rosbach‘s hot takes everything Summer house.
During an exclusive interview with We weekly at BravoCon on Saturday, November 4, Paige, 30, talked about Lee’s theory on the matter Kyle Cooke was partly to blame Carl Radke And Lindsay Hubbard‘s split.
“Absolutely not,” Paige said, adding that Lee’s hypothesis was not true. “Captain Lee said this was honestly one of the highlights of my week. I thought it was hilarious, but also so out of pocket.”
Before BravoCon kicked off in Las Vegas, Lee, 73, discussed why he felt Kyle, 41, should take some blame for the end of Carl and Lindsay’s engagement.
“You know the guy who really puts me off a little bit about that whole situation? Kyle,” the Below deck alum shared the episode of his podcast “Salty With Captain Lee” on Wednesday, November 1. “I think he contributed to some extent.”
Lee had questions about how Kyle talked about 37-year-old Lindsay Summer house while she was dating his best friend. “Like that one night he got all drunk and called Lindsay everything you could think of in front of Carl,” the captain continued, referencing a scene from season 7. “And Carl sat there and took it and didn’t touch completely out of shape and aggressive towards him. Which he had every right to do.”
Carl and Lindsay, 38, – who got engaged in August 2022 – were due to tie the knot in Mexico this month. The upcoming season 8 of Summer House initially featured their wedding preparations before Carl informed producers of their impending split.
Following Carl and Lindsay’s high-profile split, Kyle shocked Bravo fans when he said he wasn’t surprised.
“It is a very difficult subject. I supported them even though I saw the cracks in the foundation. I wasn’t surprised based on what I knew,” he noted during one Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen appearance on October 24. “Canceling a wedding is probably harder than proposing and that’s why I didn’t think it would actually happen because it’s drastic. That gives you an idea of the current state.”
Kyle recalled having a front-row seat to Carl and Lindsay’s ups and downs during the filming of Season 8.
“My opinion is that I don’t think Carl knew he was actually canceling until the conversation happened. I only found out afterwards that this was the outcome. It was so much in this moment,” he added. “I would like to hope that they can share a summer house, because it would be a shame if our little run here came to an end.”
In response, Lee slammed Kyle’s thoughts on the matter, adding on Wednesday: ‘Then Kyle comes out and says he could see the cracks in the relationship. Wake up, you were part of the cracks. You’re supposed to be Carl’s best friend, and all you do every waking moment you talk to Carl is badmouth Lindsay. Is that what friends do?”
Lee concluded: “I feel sorry for both of them. I think people who don’t know should realize that they don’t know, and not speculate because their words have an impact. I don’t know how Kyle and Carl stayed friends.’
For her part, Paige disagrees with Lee’s assessment of Kyle.
“Carl has a best friend and Carl vents to his best friend. [Then] his best friend gives him the advice a best friend would. So it’s the same as when I talk [Kyle Cooke’s wife] Amanda [Batula]” she explained Us on Saturday. “If Kyle could influence a couple to break up, I don’t think that couple is strong enough to begin with. I don’t think that’s true at all.”
According to Paige, Summer house viewers will see what led to Carl calling it quits, adding: “That obviously happened two months ago. You see the ins and outs like you always do. You see the couples and you see how everyone interacts with each other. You get the full story.”
