Behind-the-scenes footage from Prince William’s Earthshot trip to Singapore has been highlighted in a slick new video from Will Warr.

The highlights film from the filmmaker – who has worked with the Prince and Princess of Wales on several occasions – captured the royal family’s four-day trip to the South East Asian country last week.

It included footage of adoring crowds greeting the father-of-two, his sightseeing adventures and a thrilling dragon boat race on the Marina Reservoir.

Candid scenes also featured William’s presentation at the third annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, participating in Earthshot Week and attending the 2023 United for Wildlife Global Summit.

In the clip, he was seen chatting with award winners at the glitzy, star-studded event – ​​hosted by Hannah Waddingham – which included Cate Blanchett, former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the son of Australian conservationist Steve Irwin , Robert Irwin, were present.

Meanwhile, William gave a rare behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals for the Earthshot Prize Awards this weekend.

The star-studded ceremony was broadcast in Britain and the US on Sunday, after taking place on the South-east Asian island on November 7.

Prior to this, the royal family had given a glimpse into rehearsals for the ceremony at The Theater in Mediacorp.

The photos show a more casual side of the future king, wearing a dark suit with an open collar – offset by a pair of white sneakers.

It was in stark contrast to the velvet green suit and bow tie he wore on the evening itself, adorned with a white pocket square and a metal Remembrance Day poppy pin.

The royals also shared backstage footage from Wednesday’s ceremony, which saw Prince William checking his notes before stepping on stage to deliver a speech.

Five recipient organizations – including a marine conservation charity and a soil carbon initiative – from the fifteen nominees received £1 million each to continue working on solutions to the climate crisis.

When William created the Environmental Award in 2020, he did so with a 10-year mission to find ways to protect and restore the environment with innovative solutions.

It awards five £1 million prizes annually across the Earthshot themes of clean air, oceans, waste reduction, climate change and nature restoration.

Over the past year, the Earthshot Prize cohort has benefited 1.5 million people worldwide, restored 2.1 million hectares of ocean, and sequestered 35,000 tons of carbon emissions.

On Thursday, Prince William took part in a rare Instagram Q&A about staying focused, his favorite animal, the best food he tried in Singapore and his love for Aston Villa FC.
