Shakira lashes out at her cheating ex Gerard Pique AGAIN in a preview of her new song

Shakira’s savage digs at her ex Gerard Pique show no signs of slowing down, with the singer swiping even more in a preview of her new song Empty Cup.

The hitmaker, 45, took to Instagram to share a six-second clip of the new song, with eagle-eyed fans quickly noticing that it referenced her split with the footballer.

Shakira has not failed to reference Gerard’s cheating scandal in her music since their split in June 2022, after discovering he had been unfaithful through an empty jar of jam in her fridge.

The star previously had the scathing track Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 which was littered with references to Gerard’s split from his new girlfriend Clara Chia.

Shakira will release her new song, which she co-produced with Manuel Turizo, on June 29.

The preview offers several references to her breakup with Gerard, as she sings, “You’re always on so much business.” It would be nice, my dear, a little free time.

“Relax here on the couch and give me your attention. The phone rings, use your hand with me. I know you’re hot, but I’m much hotter.’

Shakira teased the new song on Instagram, writing the caption, “On mermaid watch,” alongside a video of herself surfing the ocean.

Shakira and Gerard split last year after 11 years together, and the sportsman has since been accused of cheating.

The singer realized that her ex was having an affair when she discovered that a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten in her absence.

Shakira then described this in a music video for her single Te Felicito in April, which featured a clip of her collaborator Rauw Alejandro’s head in an open refrigerator.

Shakira came home from a stint traveling when she found the jam in her fridge had been eaten, and she knew the rest of her family hated it.

The singer seemed to allude to this the music video for her single Te Felicito, in which she opens a refrigerator to be greeted by Rauw’s head.

Gerard has since gone public with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, and Shakira even took a swipe at her in her new diss track that has since topped Spotify’s Global Charts.

Shakira didn’t shy away from putting her now-former mother-in-law to the test either. setting up a terrifying life-sized witch doll on the balcony of her Spanish home that allegedly looked over her former mother-in-law’s pillow.

Shakira released a diss track aimed at her ex with producer Bizarrap in January, called Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53, in Spanish.

Residents in the area reported hearing Shakira “pop the song at full volume” from her now-former home, including lyrics aimed at his new girlfriend. The singer has since moved to Miami.

It had been reported that the relationship between Shakira and Montserrat Bernabéu [Gerard’s mother] has turned sour after happily welcoming her son’s new romance.

Twitter was flooded with posts about the song and the creepy-looking witch, who was posted on Shakira’s balcony, with many calling her a “little queen.”

It comes after it was reported last weekend that Gerard and Clara are planning to announce their engagement later this week.

The couple went public with their romance last year in the wake of the footballer and Shakira’s split, and sources now claim they plan to share their engagement news on June 24.

The source told Spanish media: “Gerard Pique and Clara Chia are getting married. The ex-footballer and his girlfriend made this very important decision.

“They also planned the ideal time to bring out the good news. The announcement will be made on another important date for Pique, the wedding of his brother Marc who will marry his childhood sweetheart Maria on June 24.”

Shakira is mother to children Milan, 10, and Sasha, eight, with Gerard.

Earlier this month, Shakira emotionally discussed relationships following her painful split with the Spanish former footballer.
