Southern Charm’s Craig Conover reflects on Paige DeSorbo’s divorce for the family
In the latest episode of Southern charm, Craig Conover confessed that his desire to become a father made him think about breaking up Paige DeSorbo.
“I’m waiting for her to decide if she’s ready to move in together,” Craig, 34, told his friend Rodrigo Reyes on the Thursday, November 9, episode of the Bravo series. “Me and Paige, we’ve been together for a while. I know now I’m saying, “It’s time to quit or get off the pot.”
Craig, who has been dating Paige, 31, since the summer of 2021, noted that “when it comes to [him]”, he would “be engaged by the end of the year.” (The Southern charm episode was filmed in early 2023.)
“I want to live that storybook life. I want the white picket fence,” he shared. “I want to make sure we continue to follow the trend in that direction.”
Craig explained that his “future was always about being a family with kids,” which led him to wonder if Paige is worth the wait. “What more could I want? Do I want to be with Paige and have the patience to eventually have that family with her? Or do I want the family so much that I will leave the love of my life?” he pondered, before confirming that he doesn’t want children with someone he doesn’t love.
While the Sewing Down South founder revealed that he will “never settle” when it comes to his happiness, he admitted to Paige “it feels like we’re kind of going around in circles.”
Craig continued to express his frustration with his and Paige’s current relationship trajectory during a confessional interview. “Paige is 30 and when we talk about things like this, she usually says, ‘Well, at 35 I’m going to have kids.’ In five years I will be forty,” he told the cameras. “My biological clock is ticking.”

Craig and Paige previously discussed the idea of moving from New York to Charleston in season 7 Summer housewhich was filmed in the summer of 2022.
During an episode of the Bravo series in April, Paige confessed, “If you proposed to me tomorrow, that would be amazing. But then it would immediately start the clock of ‘When are you going down? When are you planning your wedding?’ Right now, if you were to propose with a piece of hay during this damn hoedown, I’d say yes. But it’s a lot. I would change my whole life. I will change much more than you. I will change my whole life.”
Paige cried at the thought of leaving her family and friends behind. Later she confided in her boyfriend Amanda Batula, saying, “The thought of getting engaged, getting married and being someone’s wife is very scary. Why doesn’t anyone say it’s scary?”

Even though we were worried on Thursday Southern charm episode of his future, Craig exclusively shared We weekly in September that he and Paige are “good” after recently celebrating two years together.
“I think we’ve made a good step in terms of not allowing the unknown of the future [affect us]” he explained, noting that the couple enjoys splitting time between the Big Apple and Charleston. “I really only had rom-coms to base my life on. I thought you were in a relationship, there was a conflict and you were engaged after you made up and got married.”
Craig pointed out that the couple has grown since the summer of 2022 and started talking about the logistics of what’s to come. “There is still a lot more to find out. Sure, we’re dating well now, but we have to figure out where we’re going to live. We need to talk about money and children,” he continued. “I feel in a much better place this summer than I did last summer, and it’s actually embarrassing that I think I could have gone to her parents last summer and asked them [to marry her]. I’m just really glad I didn’t do that because I’m really happy.
