Three dead after Barcelona apartment building collapses as sniffer dogs discover remains left in rubble
THREE people have been killed after a five-storey apartment building collapsed near Barcelona.
The victims have been described as a 'young' man and woman, aged between 30 and 40, and another woman in her 50s.

They are believed to have lived in several flats in the building, which is a short tube and train ride north Barcelonain Badalona – and were not members of the same family.
One of the victims was talking to family members on an online video call when the apartment building collapsed, it was reported.
The nationalities of the three victims are not yet known.
Firefighters discovered three bodies overnight during a search for the three residents reported missing.

The first victim was found just before 2 a.m this morningand the others at 6:30 am and 7:00 am.
Police and other emergency workers rushed to the scene around 10.30am yesterday after a call to 999.
About forty apartments in neighboring buildings were evacuated when psychologists arrived on the scene.
Harrowing footage released by firefighters showed them working overnight to clear and locate the rubble the missing one trio.
Before finding the bodies, firefighters wrote on X/Twitter: “Two sniffers dogs check the surface of the rubble every time a certain volume or heavy element is removed.”
In a subsequent message, around 8am local time, they said: “We have found three lifeless bodies in the collapsed building in Badalona, waiting to be identified.
“We are continuing to clear the rubble, which is expected to last until this afternoon.”
Badalona mayor Xavier Garcia Albiol said two of the victims were “young people” and the third was an “older woman”.
He said: “The younger woman lived alone with her two young daughters and the man had just become father to his second child.”
