Woman, 58, dies and another woman, 39, admitted to hospital in leafy Worcester Street as police arrest man, 50, for ‘murder’
A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead and another left fighting for her life.
Police rushed to a canopy of trees Worchester yesterday around 8:30 pm on the street and tragically found the body of a 58-year-old woman.
Another woman, 39, was found in critical condition and rushed to hospital.
West Mercia Police said she has “life-threatening” injuries.
Police swarmed to Haresfield Close and arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding, of the Murder Investigation Unit, said: “I understand that incidents of this nature can be alarming, but I would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.
“You will notice a higher one Police presence in the area in the coming days as officers investigate this incident.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who sadly lost her life.”
