Holidaymakers looking for a villa with a spectacular extra feature can book to stay in a ‘magical’ French Airbnb that tourists say is ‘something out of a dream’.

The short-term rental property has a major selling point: a river-like pool flows right through the property.

Located in Goult – a town in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France – the ‘Pool House’ has a king-size bedroom and a bathroom and can accommodate up to two guests.

According to the Airbnb listing, it’s owned by antique dealer Xavier, which is why there are so many vintage treasures scattered throughout the interior.

The ‘Pool House’ is located in Goult – a town in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in South-East France

The property is filled with natural wooden features and lush plants.

But it’s the impressive river-like pool that will undoubtedly amaze holidaymakers the most; it winds its way through the property from an outdoor dining area and then through the house.

The pool flows through stone arches, past green vines and flowers and even away from the feet of a relaxing lounge bed covered in cushions and blankets.

Xavier’s advert states: ‘Guests are invited to use the owner’s 12 meter swimming pool, shared with his three other properties, set in his unique shady, magical, enclosed and tranquil garden.’

A stay includes access to a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery, as well as a hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, blender and freezer.

The home has WiFi, a workspace, heating, air conditioning and an indoor fireplace, as well as a 40-inch TV with Chromecast.

The pool house offers courtyard views, free parking and security cameras.

You can enjoy a private dinner indoors at a table or at a table in the garden.

Visitors are enthusiastic about the Airbnb advertisement after their visit.

‘The Pool House, where we stayed, had a very cosy, organic feel and the outdoor area, with a semi-covered pool running underneath the house, felt like you were in a very cozy cave.’

‘Goult is a very small and quiet town (many shops and restaurants are closed on certain days and certain times of the day), but it was a charming place [from which] to explore Provence and we had some of our best meals just steps away from the Airbnb.

‘It rained all day on our only full day in Goult, but we still swam in the pool (which is fully covered and warm) and it was honestly the best rainy day we’ve ever had.

The pool house requires a minimum stay of two nights and costs from £187/$238 per night plus cleaning and Airbnb fees (airbnb.co.uk). There are other units in the same building so guests may have to share the pool and gardens.
