AMAZON is one of the world’s largest companies – and yet there’s a section of the site you’ve probably never heard of.

The online e-commerce giant is a one-stop shop for everything from technology to books, toys to baby supplies.

But chances are you didn’t end up in the “Warehouse” where it is claimed you can get discounts of up to 50%.

The section of the retailer’s website and marketplace is dedicated to returned and slightly damaged goods at low prices.

Smart savers can choose from computers, cameras, shoes, bags and more, and there are usually only minor problems with the products.

At the time of writing, there was a used pair of Apple AirPods Pros for £173.86 instead of £229 new – a 25% discount.

You can also buy a pair of Skechers sneakers for men for €31.26 instead of €37 new – 15% discount.

At the pricier end of the scale we found a Panasonic camera for £1,503.54 instead of £1,995.78 new – a 25% discount.

Many frugal people have also saved money using the platform.

On X, formerly Twitter, someone said, “I always check (the site) unless it’s a gift. I’ve saved a lot on tools.”

Another commented: “I got headphones for my son and saved £35!!!! Damaged box except you couldn’t see it.”

And a third added: “I bought a welding machine that was unused but fell on a bent wheel.

I’m an ex-Amazon delivery driver. Some employees may not deliver your packages due to a little-known policy

“Straightened it out, works great and saved £60.”

All products purchased through Amazon Warehouse are subject to the online seller’s return policy.

This means that if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

It’s worth noting that you’ll get a different level of discount depending on how worn and torn the item is.

Amazon categorizes products in four ways:

Used – like new

An item in perfect condition, the packaging may show some damage.

The item is fully functional and all essential accessories are complete.

Used – very good

An item in very good condition that may have seen limited use and is fully functional. The item may have minor cosmetic imperfections.

The packaging may be damaged or repackaged and some non-essential accessories may be missing.

Used – Good

An item in good condition that may show wear from moderate use, is fully functional and may have arrived with damaged packaging.

It may have minor cosmetic damage, such as a small scratch.

The item may be missing some valuable accessories and cannot be used until these accessories are purchased separately.

Used – acceptable

An item may show obvious signs of use but still perform its main function and may arrive with damaged packaging or be repackaged.

The item may have cosmetic damage or other signs of previous use, such as scratches or dents.

The item may be missing some accessories, parts or spare parts that you may need to purchase separately.

What other retailers sell damaged products?

It’s not just Amazon that’s offering shoppers discounts on goods showing signs of light wear.

Shoe retailers Schuh and Office both have portals on their websites where you can pick up ex-display items cheaply.

Office Offcuts sometimes offers shoppers whopping discounts – when we checked we saw them up to 85% off.

Meanwhile, we’ve seen discounts of up to 55% on Schuh’s former display website, although you may find bigger discounts.
