RHOC’s Shannon Beador Sued For $75,000 By Ex John Janssen

Getty Images (2)The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador is being sued by ex-boyfriend Johannes Janssen about money she allegedly borrowed to get a facelift.
Janssen, 61, filed a lawsuit against Beador, 59, on Wednesday, March 20, according to court documents obtained by Peoplesued her for breach of oral contracts and promissory note fraud, claiming she failed to repay him $75,000.
Janssen claimed that Beador asked him for the money in 2022 People. He sent her $40,000 via bank transfer in January that year, which was reportedly used for the plastic surgery procedure. People reported that he also paid her a secondary check for $35,000 in May 2023, by personal check. Janssen alleged in court documents that Beador had failed to return the money even though she had agreed to pay him back with interest.
“Ms. Beador’s defense that Mr. Janssen paid her the $75,000 as a ‘gift’ is completely meritless, as their emails and text messages will bear out,” Edson K. McClellan, Rutan & Tucker LLP, told reporters. He is seeking the full $75,000, “plus accrued interest, costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees,” the People report reads.
Beador spoke out in a statement Us: “I am shocked and disappointed that John has filed a lawsuit. My lawyer has been in constant contact with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew the attorneys’ fees would exceed the amount requested, but more importantly, to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit. It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward. John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. I hoped that if I complied with his baseless demand, we could at least use this as an opportunity to completely close this chapter in my life.
(News of this lawsuit comes months after she was arrested for drunken driving in September 2023. In November of that year, she was sentenced to three years of informal probation.
Beador started dating Janssen in 2019. They were together for almost four years before calling it quits in January 2023. Beador announced their breakup People at the time, revealing she was “blindsided” by the split.

Those were famous last words when Janssen was spotted with a colleague RHOC alum Alexis Bellino almost five months later. Beador has been quite vocal about her feelings when it comes to Bellino’s relationship with Janssen.
“I’m not going to lie, I’m hurt,” Beador told E! News in December 2023. “I’ve been hurt a lot in the last few weeks because, No. 1, John said he didn’t want to be in the public eye, and he’s put himself more in the public eye this point. So I’m quite confused about that.”
