American Airlines Boeing with 249 on board makes emergency landing after ‘tire blow’, just days after the wheel fell out of the plane

A BOEING 777 was forced to make an emergency landing after one of its tires reportedly exploded, days after another Boeing wheel fell from a jetliner into the sky.

The American Airlines flight is the last in a series Boeing safety flaws – and the third wheel incident in just a few weeks.

The plane had left Texas with 249 passengers on board before landing at LAX just hours later.

A ‘mechanical problem’ caused one of the tires to ‘burst’, forcing pilots to declare an emergency. CBS News reports.

Firefighters rushed to the airport runway to meet the plane as it landed Wednesday evening.

American Airlines officials would not confirm the tire failure – describing only a “possible mechanical issue” before landing. KTL reports.

The pilot of another plane behind could be heard saying, “Hey…Tower, the 75 on the runway just lost the noseband,” in cockpit recordings released by VAS Aviation.

Yesterday a The Boeing 777 was caught on camera leaking hydraulic fluid during takeoff before it was forced to make another emergency landing.

The new safety failure comes just days after a Boeing whistleblower found dead in his truck after giving evidence against the aviation giant in an ongoing investigation.

All passengers and crew were able to safely disembark from AA Flight 345 when it landed at LAX last night.

The first months of 2024 have seen a steady stream of worrying Boeing failures plunging the aviation giant into crisis.

Just days in January the door of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 opened mid flight.

Passengers were terrified as the plane flew with a gaping hole in the side.

Later the Federal Aviation Administration grounded certain Boeing 737s across all airlines until proper inspections were completed.

And now an FAA investigation has concluded that the aircraft manufacturer failed a whopping 39 of 89 individual audits.

Not only did they discover dozens of problems in the production process, but they also discovered that the company was not meeting proper quality regulations.

And one of their key suppliers also presented problems.

In total, the aircraft giant showed almost 100 cases of alleged non-compliance after the six-week investigation.

On Saturday, former Boeing employee John Barnett was found dead in his truck days after testifying against the company during the investigation.

At the time of his death, he had provided evidence of alleged misconduct at the company to investigators working on a lawsuit. BBC.

The former employee, who worked at Boeing for 32 years, reported safety shortcomings and mistakes, a culture of fear and concerns about future failures.

The head of the European aviation regulator said this on Wednesday Reuters the agency would withdraw Boeing’s approval if necessary, potentially preventing them from operating in European airspace.

It is a rare move by both the European and US aviation regulators – the world’s largest – to withdraw approval of each other’s safety checks and aircraft standards.
