‘I’ve never done a sequel [because of the pressure]. “I’ve always tried to stay away from it, but this time I just loved these characters and always felt like we could revisit them,” the 61-year-old filmmaker said. Variety on May 23.

Audiences can next see Lively produce and star as Lily Bloom, a Boston woman torn between loving a neurosurgeon or her high school sweetheart, in Sony Pictures’ romantic drama It Ends with Us, out August 9 in the U.S. and will be shown in British theaters.
Justin Baldoni’s big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel also stars Justin Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate and Hasan Minhaj.
