Consumer group Which one? previously analyzed the contents of 600-650 gram jars of Celebrations, Heroes, Quality Street and Roses – and determined the code for the distribution of treats therein.

They discovered that for every nine Dairy Milk chocolates, there were only four Fudges and four Truffles.

Separate research by marketing agency iProspectUK surveyed 560 people about their top treats from Cadbury, Heroes, Quality Street, Roses and Celebrations and then analyzed how often the most popular varieties appeared.

They discovered which Country Fudge was most common in a box of roses, while the Truffle and Orange Cream came in at the bottom.

The user, who posted a photo of her Roses selection, was unhappy with the manufacturer’s response: ‘That’s a shame because [it’s] never happened before.

“I’m going to Quality Street and hoping for a more even distribution from them,” she threatened.

Researchers counted, sorted and weighed almost 1,300 chocolates (12.9kg) from Britain’s most popular Christmas tins after asking people what their favorites were in each box. The results showed that the most popular sweets were not among the most common

Another user of the platform asked the chocolate giant: “Imagine my sadness when I open this last night and have no zesty orange cream and only seven strawberry creams.

‘Well stripped. Come on Cadbury UK, get your act together,” she finished. The chocolatier responded with the exact same apology he had previously issued.

The frustrated user replied: ‘Randomly filled, okay I understand, but the bath in question was purchased with six others at the same time and a total of four were distributed to family members.’

They continued: ‘All four had no orange creams, so that can’t be attributed to a random filling, can it?’

Another user on Think they need to increase their quality control. I know it’s random, but it’s shocking not to have one.”
