Chad Michael Murray is questioned about Erin Foster’s claim that he cheated on Sophia Bush during their relationship

Chad Michael Murray declined to go into details when asked about his ex Erin Foster’s accusation that he cheated on her with Sophia Bush.

The 42-year-old actor was asked by E! about Foster, 41,’s claims that he was unfaithful to Bush, 41, in “a pretty blatant way.”

The Buffalo, New York-born actor responded, “It’s not one of those things I want to go to because there’s just never a winner.”

Murray, who co-starred with Bush as Lucas Scott in One Tree Hill, said he feels “blessed” to be where he is “right now.”

The actor said: ‘I live in the now, I live in the present, I live in the future. Things have changed so dramatically for me since I was a young man that I just try to live in this space – always.”

Murray, who has also appeared in Riverdale, Dawson’s Creek and Gilmore Girls, said he avoids speaking unpleasantly about others.

“I don’t think you’ll ever see me say anything negative or hurtful about anyone,” Murray told the newspaper. ‘I will never. That’s just not me. I will not do it.’

Murray and Foster dated from 2001 to 2002, and he started dating Bush in 2003 and married two years later. Their marriage was short-lived as they revealed that they split after five months.

Murray added: “I have more regrets in my life than I want to think, but I don’t live in the past.

‘I try to move forward every day and just say, “I have air in my lungs, life in my step, the will to move forward and the sun will rise on a beautiful morning.”

Foster announced the allegation during a conversation with her sister Sara last month The world’s first podcastwho brought up the alleged affair after a fan chimed in and asked them to share “good” dating stories.

Erin then referenced a post previously posted on gossip page DeuxMoi that said Murray was “apparently cheating” on her with Bush – only to confirm it.

‘I mean yes. He definitely cheated on me with her in a pretty blatant way,” said Erin, daughter of legendary musician David Foster. ‘When we still lived together. Pretty cool.”

Erin’s revelation came amid Bush’s new romance with women’s soccer star Ashlyn Harris, 39 — whose recent ex-wife Ali Krieger suggested Harris cheated on her with Bush before filing for divorce in mid-September.

Bush and Murray officially started dating in 2003 and tied the knot in 2005.

The couple said “I do” in Santa Monica before celebrating at Hotel Casa del Mar with their friends and family, but the costars shocked fans when they split just five months later.

Bush attempted to have the marriage annulled on the grounds of fraud, but her efforts were unsuccessful and the divorce was ultimately finalized in 2006.

‘This is a difficult and unfortunate situation. I’m glad this will be resolved sooner rather than later,” she said in a statement PEOPLE at the time of finalization.

About their relationship in 2014, she said on Watch What Happens Live: “We were two stupid kids who didn’t really have anything to do with a relationship.”

Bush has recently been linked to Harris, a retired American soccer star and World Cup winner.

“After years of being friends and in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out for their first dinner a few weeks ago,” a source told People last month. “This is so recent and they’re both starting a new chapter.”

An insider added Page six that Bush and Harris’ relationship is “very new, they are definitely a couple,” while a TMZ A source said the couple was “officially a thing.”

Bush and Harris were also recently seen together in photos shared online by Canadian soccer star Selenia Iacchelli.

Harris retired from football in November 2022 and Krieger decided to do the same in March 2023.

She told CBS Morning that the 2023 NWSL season would be her last act on the court because she wanted to spend more time hanging out with her two little ones.

A source told People last month, “While it is new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali’s divorce began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer.”

The insider added that “there is no salacious story” about Bush and Harris’ new romance.

The actress and her ex-husband Grant Hughes decided to go their separate ways seven weeks after celebrating their first anniversary in August.

At the time, she removed his last name from her Instagram bio and deleted photos of the couple.

On Wednesday, Hughes broke his silence about her new romance with Harris.

His representative told me Page six“Grant will always want the best for Sophia, and supports whatever makes her happy and fulfilled.”

Although she has yet to publicly acknowledge the romance, Harris’ ex Krieger seemingly confirmed rumors that her ex-wife cheated on her with the actress.

She did this by sharing and posting messages on Instagram referencing Beyoncé’s “lemonade era.”

Last week it emerged that the former USWNT football stars had split after four years of marriage, with their relationship ‘irretrievably broken’.

They share two adopted children: daughter Sloane, two, and son Ocean, 15 months.

Since then, rumors have swirled that Harris is already dating Bush, and judging by Krieger’s latest post, it appears there was some overlap.

Kreiger posted a photo of himself in practice and wrote, “Preparing for the playoffs in my Beyoncé lemonade era.”

That 2016 Beyoncé album obviously deals with her husband Jay-Z’s infidelity as a recurring theme.
