Brazen moment four ‘dine and dashers’ walk out of a pub without paying a £60 bill after stuffing their faces with steak sandwiches, chicken tenders and a lamb shank

Four ‘dine and dashers’ have been caught on CCTV sneaking out of a pub without paying.

The unknown individuals stuffed themselves with steak sandwiches, chicken cutlets and lamb shanks; bagging a huge £60 note at Pen Y Bont Farm in Mold, North Wales, before waltzing out one by one.

The video shows the first woman stopping and talking to an apparently pregnant woman behind her before the two walk out the exit. Followed shortly afterwards by a man dressed in shorts and a hoodie, and finally a man in a tracksuit and trainers.

Now in a message on Facebook the café says that these ‘money grabbers’ cannot get away with this and warns other eateries in the area to beware of the criminals.

They wrote online: ‘Pub Warning Alert. We would like to draw your attention to a group of persons who recently visited our fine establishment for the sole purpose of dining and dancing.

‘That’s right, people – they came, they ate and they tried to leave without paying their £63 bill!

“But fear not, dear patrons, for we have the evidence to back up our claims. Our reliable CCTV cameras captured the perpetrators of the act and we have a copy of the bill to prove it.

“We’re not going to name names (yet), but let’s just say these eat-and-dashers aren’t getting away with their cheeky antics.

“We are looking for these money-grubbing thieves, and we will be sure to keep you posted on our efforts to bring them to justice.”

The pub, which is run by Marston’s, posted a reprinted image of their receipt showing that the group had ordered three large glasses of Pepsi to wash down a steak sandwich, chicken tenders and braised lamb shank, with extra pepper sauce, extra cheesy garlic bread and two portions of extra chips.

Those who saw the pub’s appeal said it was a ‘disgusting’ ploy to get free food.

‘I hope you catch them. This is a disgusting thing to do,” one person said.

Another added: ‘Great CCTV footage, is there a way to get this to all eateries within 20 miles?

‘Outdoor camera recorded on car? I hope the police arrest them*

The police have been contacted.

When contacted, the cafe declined to comment further.

It comes after Bernard McDonagh, 41, and his wife Ann McDonagh, 39, confessed to racking up £1,168 in unpaid restaurant bills and were sentenced last month to eight months and 12 months respectively for their crimes.

Staff at Bella Ciao Italian restaurant in Swansea say they were the latest victims of this robbery when the couple sat in their restaurant with a group of eight and left without paying the £329 bill.

CCTV footage from the restaurant showed Ms McDonagh trying to pay the bill with a savings card but was refused twice.

She told the staff that her son would wait inside while she went to get her ‘other card’, but she did not return and moments later the boy had also disappeared from the building.

The number of food and drink outlets appears to be increasing after another business had to appeal on social media for help in tracking down men left with a £150 bill.

Elle Bolland, 32, who has spent more than £1 million refurbishing an old hotel and setting up her eatery with 30 staff, has released CCTV images of the suspects.

The three men arrived in a pick-up truck and parked in the car park of the Station Restaurant & Bar in Blaxton, Doncaster.

Mrs Bolland, who is eight months pregnant with her second child, said she was left angry by the cheeky couple who allegedly racked up a bill for £150 and finished their meal with cocktails.

‘If these kinds of people get away with it, companies are in danger of being closed down.

‘You still have to pay the bills and the staff. People who walk out without paying, especially if they have ordered steak, can send you down.’
