Another day on the eccentric Lib Dem on the campaign trail, Sir Ed saw Davey bouncing around on a giant inflatable cushion.

The Lib Dem leader was today pictured in the air with bare feet and his trousers rolled up as he jumped on a cushion trampoline at Bocketts Farm in Dorking, Surrey.

It is his latest stunt in a three-week series of high-profile antics by the politician about the General Election campaign which saw the 58-year-old fall off a paddleboard in Windermere and undergo a makeover ITVIt’s this morning.

At the end of May, Sir Ed tried to put pressure on the Tories about the UK’s sewage crisis by paddleboarding and falling into England’s largest lake, and the scene of a highly controversial wastewater spill in February.

Earlier this month it was claimed that millions of liters of raw sewage were ‘illegally’ pumped into the Lake District beauty spot by United Utilities after a fault went unresolved for hours.

On Friday, the party leader was compared to ‘The Man From Del Monte’ as he pranced around on a catwalk in front of the hosts Cat Deeley And Ben Shephard on ITVs this morning.

The politician donned a linen blazer, navy chinos and leather trainers after his team asked stylist Laura Puddy for the ‘perfect summer outfit for the campaign trial’.

Other campaign stops saw him clamber around a water obstacle course and an assault course, belting out We Will Rock You on drums made from an exercise ball and riding Thorpe Park’s new roller coaster.

It’s all an attempt to get rid of the ‘blue wall’, a collection of typically safe Conservative seats in southern England.
