She said: “My childhood home ended up on the Ugly Irish Houses Instagram page.”

“I just thought I'd bring it back because it's funny,” she added.

“For reference, it wasn't always this ugly.

“It was probably better when we first moved in, to be honest.”

She then showed the house when they first moved in and it looked like a regular house with white exterior walls and wood panels along the windows and a matching door.

However, the house soon received a makeover so ostentatious that even the Residents Association wrote a letter of complaint to the family.

She revealed that her parents made a blind bid on the house that needed a lot of work, but decided they would do the work while living in it.

However, things didn't go entirely according to plan.

Keelin explained, “They literally bought it for way more than what it was worth, it needed a lot of work.”

But when the recession hit, her mother lost her job and her father took a big pay cut, meaning much of the planned work was never completed.

Although they didn't finish much of the work, her mother decided to paint the exterior of the house bright pink, leaving the warm-colored wood panels as they were.

“I would also like to add that my mother only painted it pink after my parents separated,” she said.

“And I don't know if that was some kind of revenge to, you know, bring down the value of the house.”

Keelin also showed off the home's interiors, which were just as daring.

Her father decided to tile the floors himself and opted for an orange and brown theme.

He even fixed the stairs that she said “rattled” every time you stepped on them.

To top it all off, her mother decided to go with bright red and green for the walls and floors.

She used a bright green paint for the upstairs walls and went for bold Red carpet.

The clip was posted to her TikTok account @kee_mon has since gone viral with over 485,000 views and 43,000 likes.

People were quick to reply to the comments and share their thoughts about the house.

One person wrote: “It's not Ken's dream house, it's Barbie's dream house.”

Another commented: “I like it quiet.”

“This is hilarious,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Sorry but it looks like a house that had a makeover program in the 70s.”

“Looks like someone in the house killed an elf,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I live down the road and honestly the pink brought a bit of life to our boring estate – it was a Nice way to finish off the fancy old conceits.”

“The residents association sent us a letter of complaint,” Keelin replied.
