A RUSSIAN student accused of blowing up a pro-Putin propagandist has been sentenced to 27 years in prison.

On April 2, 2023, Tatarsky, 40, led a discussion in a St. Petersburg cafe for about 100 people as the blast ripped through the placekilling him instantly and injuring 30 others.

The military blogger was mysteriously presented with a gold-colored statuette by a woman who looked like Trepova at the event

Footage shows her strolling past the cafe shortly before the explosion while holding a large cardboard box, probably filled with a TNT bomb.

Police quickly arrested Trepova and accused her of handing Tatarski the deadly gift at the location owned by the late Wagner warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin.

She has always denied knowing she was carrying an explosive.

The art student from St. Petersburg was previously arrested for participating in anti-war demonstrations.

Trepova was also accused of carrying out the murder on orders Ukraine.

She told the court yesterday: 'I thought there was a telephone tap in the statue, and not a bomb.

'My conscience is clear. I was actually sent to my death with a bomb [by Ukrainian handlers].”

“I am deeply pained and ashamed that my naivete and gullibility led to such catastrophic consequences,” she told the victims and their relatives in court.

Prosecutors had asked court Wednesday to find Trepova guilty and sentence her to 28 years in prison jail colony with a fine of 800,000 rubles (£7,000).”

Today she was sentenced to 27 years.

The maximum penalty for committing a terrorist act, dealing in explosives and forging documents is 30 years.

Trepova's boyfriend, Dmitry Kasintsev, who sheltered her in his apartment after the bombing, was sentenced to one year and nine months for concealing a serious crime.

Her boyfriend Dmitry Rylov, also in his twenties and a member of the so-called Russian Liberation Army – says she was 'set up'.

He is also wanted by the secret services and was arrested together with his girlfriend during anti-war protests.

Rylov insisted that Trepova had “completely misunderstood” the purpose of the statue given to Tatarski.

He said: 'I believe my wife has been framed.

'I have complete confidence that she could never do something like this on her own accord.

“Yes, with Daria we support the war in Ukrainebut we believe that such actions are unacceptable.

“I'm 100 percent sure she would never have agreed to something like that if she had known.”

But Russia released a so-called confession video featuring the blonde, with cropped heradmitting her role in the bomb plot.

When asked why she is being held, Trepova said: “I would say so, because I was on the side of the murder of Vladlen Tatarski.

“I brought the statue there that exploded.”

She was then pressured to reveal who had supplied her with the devastating explosive device, to which she replied: “Can I tell you later?”
