NOSTALGIC Home Bargains shoppers are in an uproar after spotting 'the best' chocolate bar on the shelves.

The discount chain is known for selling everything from energy-saving gadgets to quirky items.

Home Bargains is selling a classic chocolate bar for £1.20

But shoppers have had one sweet snack in particular in recent weeks: raspberry and coconut ruffles.

The original chocolate bar was launched in the 1930s and combines flavored fondant and rich dark chocolate.

We've seen B&M, Amazon and Iceland selling their own versions, but Home Bargains is also selling one for £1.20.

And one shopper quickly shared a photo of the nostalgic treat from their local Home Bargains branch on the Food Finds UK Facebook page.

They said, “Wow, this is a chocolate bar I would never forget. I already had them when I was little.

“So glad I found them again!”

Hundreds have liked and commented on the post, sharing the love for the iconic chocolate treat.

One said: “Elite mate…hands down THE best chocolate bar.”

Another was a little less subtle, saying: “I could destroy that right now. I'd love to have a day off in my nice warm house with five of those naughty boys on my lap.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “This is my mum's favourite.”

And a fourth commented: “Oh yeah. An old favorite of mine. I bought this at the school supply store in the early 80's.”

Anyone wanting to get their hands on a pack of Ruffles will not be able to order for home delivery as this is not listed on the Home Bargains website.

However, you may be able to find it in your local branch, which you can find using the retailer's store locator on its website.

It comes after Home Bargains shoppers rushed to buy an energy-saving gadget from the retailer for £13.

Meanwhile, fans of the discounter have discovered a 69p bargain that is “identical” to a discontinued favourite.

In other news, if you're looking to save money next time you're at Home Bargains, deals expert Tom Church previously told The Sun Mrs Hinch that products are worth looking out for.

Plus, Tom has revealed the exact spot to go in your local branch for the best deals: the front of the store.
