New Delhi: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket will take on Ben Stokes’ England cricket team in the fourth Test of the five-match series at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on February 23. Team India leads the series 2-1 and has a chance to end the series with a third straight win. However, the Ranchi weather forecast predicts rain and cloudy conditions.

According to the weather reports, rain will occur in Ranchi on February 25 (Sunday) and February 27 (Tuesday), days 3 and 5 of the fourth Test. There is a 45 percent chance of rain on day 3 and a 50 percent chance of rain on day 5. This could affect the outcome of the match, even ending the match in a draw.

With India opting to rest fast-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming fourth Test against England starting Friday at the JSCA International Stadium, it means the hosts have a tough task ahead of them in an attempt to win the series here to seal.

India are also missing the services of KL Rahul due to a quadriceps injury sustained after playing in the opening Test in Hyderabad. The BCCI statement said Rahul was 90 per cent match fit but he was still ruled out of the Ranchi Test.
