Kash Patel spread an internal memo that made it clear that a recent report on plans to intestine an agency from the Ministry of Justice are 'completely untrue'.
The FBI director, who is currently also acting director of the Bureau for Alcohol, Tobacco, firearms and explosives (ATF), urged his employees to ignore the report and only listen to his guidelines, according to a copy of the memo obtained by DailyMail.com.
He said that the FBI, ATF and other government agencies are in a 'new era' of accountability and transparency for the American people – and said that those efforts would not be deterred by media messages.
Last week, CNN quoted three sources in an article that claimed that they had been informed about plans to dismiss or remove no fewer than 1,000 agents from the ATF, which would reduce the staff of the agency by more than a third party.
“This 'report' is completely untrue,” the director was in a memo that was sent to ATF employees on Monday.
“The fake news will never be responsible for the operational command authority about the ATF, we are,” Patel continued in the message. “The brave men and women of the ATF who are courageously devote themselves to the protection of the American public will not endanger their safety by the media disinformation campaigns.”

FBI director Kash Patel, who is also acting head of the ATF, sent a memo to the desk on Monday and called it 'fake news' after a report was published on plans to close the ATF by 1,000 employees
He clarified: “If we make decisions, they will be final, regardless of the input of CNN or another news organization.”
According to the report, a person is said to have informed the case that a few hundreds of these ATF agents would be re-assigned to border-related criminal enforcement obligation as FBI agents.
An ATF spokeswoman disputed this classification and said in a Saturday statement that as part of a plan to tackle the southern border crisis, “the ATF will temporarily assign around 150 agents of existing field offices to other ATF -field offices, where they will continue to serve as ATF agents to support the Surge initiative.”
Both the ATF and the FBI fall under the goal of the Ministry of Justice, and both agencies are currently run by Patel.
“This is a new era for all of us,” said Patel in his memo. '[W]E will work aggressively every day to eradicate corruption at all levels of society and the public open, honest and honest kind of federal law enforcement team that they deserve to give. '
“You are all a crucial part of that mission,” he assured the ATF staff file.

A copy of the memo was obtained by DailyMail.com where Patel instructs his staff to listen to only what comes directly from leadership instead of media reports

CNN reported that at least three people were informed about plans to dismiss 1,000 ATF employees or to assign it in an attempt to close the agency that regulates firearms
The ATF is the domestic law enforcement agency in charge of maintaining laws with regard to alcohol, tobacco and firearms and other explosives.
The responsibilities of the agency are the investigation and prevention of federal violations with regard to these substances and weapons, including illegal use, production, possession, as well as illegal human trafficking and tax evasion with regard to alcohol and tobacco products.
In particular, the Republicans focused on the ATF during the presidency of Joe Biden for making a strict firearm -related regulations at the federal level, which they say that it infringes rights to the second amendment.
