BROADCAST India Willoughby’s claim that JK Rowling misgendered her online did not meet the criminal threshold, police ruled.

Rowling had posted: “India has not become a woman. He is cosplaying a misogynistic male fantasy of what a woman is.”
On Byline TV, Willoughby, 58, said: “JK Rowling definitely has one crime. Before the law I am a woman.”
“I am legally a woman. She knows I’m a woman and she calls me a man. It is a protected characteristic.”
Northumbria Police said: “On Monday, March 4, we received a complaint about a social media post.
“While we recognize the distress this may have caused, the post was reviewed and did not meet the criminal justice threshold.
“The complainant has been informed of this.”
