This is known as cached data – and it’s the same cache that you should clear from time to time on your laptop or PC.

People often overlook that their phones can also keep this cache data.

And clearing it out can free up some storage space on your phone.

Unfortunately, there is a ‘Clear All’ button that allows you to delete the cached data from your iPhone or Android.

How to clear cache on iPhone

Instead, iPhone users will have to go into their settings and scroll down to the list of apps installed on their phone.

From there you can tap on individual apps to see if they have a clear caching option.

To clear the cache from Safari, simply follow these steps: Institutions > Safari > Clear history and website dataselect a time frame and tap Clear history.

How to clear cache on Android

Clearing the cache on most Android phones is very similar to that of an iPhone.

All Android owners have to do is jump into it Institutions and scroll down to the Apps section.

Then tap on the individual app to find the platform’s information.

From there, click Storage > Clear cache.

However, some Android phones have an actual ‘magic button’ that clears cached data from all apps.
