Tyson was previously forced to apologize to fans after suffering a stomach ulcer, prompting doctors to advise him to postpone the fight.

“I would like to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time,” he said in a statement earlier this month.

‘My body is generally in better shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will soon be back on my full training regime. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but ultimately you’re going to be out of boxing for good.”

Although a new date has been announced, some commentators have expressed doubt as to whether the fight will ever happen.

“Mike Tyson is 57 years old; he is almost 58 years old. They say it’s a minor ulcer problem, but I don’t think there’s anything minor at that stage of your life, especially when it comes to getting yourself in the right shape to be in a professional boxing match,” Sports Illustrated said reporter Chris Mannix. during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” last week.

He continued, “There’s genuine concern from people who are also on the card – I mean, there are a number of other fights that are also on the card – about the progress of this particular card.”

‘It is certainly not excluded. But again, there are people involved who express skepticism about the progress of this particular battle.”
