The Real Housewives of Atlanta women have some ideas about casting changes for the next season of the Bravo show.

Kandi Burruswho played a leading role RHOA since 2009, exclusively told We weekly she’s hesitant to add (or even remove) cast members.

‘I think that might be possible [a shakeup], but every time they decide they want to change people, it’s like sometimes I’m sad when the people leave because they’ve switched,” Kandi, 47, said on the red carpet at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 4.” Sometimes they get someone new and I’m like, ‘Okay, well…’ I try to stay open-minded. I could have kept the same team as when I first started.”

“I don’t think there needs to be a total restart, but I definitely think there needs to be a shake-up,” Kenya, 52, told Us on Saturday, adding that some Housewives from previous seasons “could be great” to bring back. “I think we just need to get back to that magic that we’ve seen in the past, where people aren’t pretending or desperate to be there.”

Marlo Hampton Kenya agreed, tellingly Us that producers “absolutely” need to change the casting.

“Think about it, two years ago they finally made me a housewife, that was a change,” Marlo (47) explained at the fan convention. “So for things to get better, it has to evolve. I want the show to continue to evolve.”

Marlo officially earned her Housewife title for season 14 in 2022 after appearing as a Friend of the cast several times. In addition to shaking up the current cast, Marlo would also like to see a “girls trip of all the originals.”

Once a peach, always a peach! The Real Housewives of Atlanta has parted ways with some cast members since its Bravo debut in 2008, but there’s always a chance they could return. For example, original RHOA star NeNe Leakes left the show in season 7 before rejoining the cast in 2018. […]

“I mean, these girls who paved the way. We are the new Real Housewives of Atlanta and all [the old cast members] are amazing,” she shared, adding that OG star Kim “would be great to come back.”

Shereé, 53, shared Us that while there may be a few changes to the show’s format, it doesn’t need a complete reboot.

“Our fans are so loyal. They invested in each of us, I don’t think there could ever be a complete restart [RHOA]. It won’t work,” Shereé said. “I’m okay with a rebound. Just add a few people.”

Although some changes would be welcomed by her costars, newbie Sanya Richards-Ross told us the “six of [them]” of season 15 — including Kandi, Kenya, Marlo, Shereé and Drew Sidora – are “already a great group.”

“I think if we had a little more time to build real friendships. I think what the fans came to expect was that when the show started, they were all real friends, they all lived together in Atlanta, they had a history and it takes time to build that,” Sanya, 38, said Us on Saturday. “It doesn’t matter if you bring in a new cast, they’re still going to be new to each other.”

Sanya added that she feels like she’s already built a strong bond with some of her costars after her first season and “hopes the fans will give that [them] more time to do that.”
