Kate Hudson, 44, says she doesn't 'force' her healthy lifestyle – including daily workouts – on her three children: 'They want to be part of it'

Kate Hudson shared how she and her three children enjoy bonding over her love of fitness.

The Oscar nominee, 44, revealed that daughter Rani, five, and sons Bingham 'Bing', 12, and Ryder, 20, join her workouts as she believes a healthy lifestyle is 'not taught, it's captured' , she said. interview with People on Sunday.

'I'm busy, I'm very busy, but at 5 p.m. my day is over and I'm in the kitchen making something for them.

“It's hard to make it happen when you're a working mom, and it was especially hard when I was a single mom,” she admitted.

Kate went on to say that she invites the kids into the kitchen to set them up for success with a healthy relationship with food.

“My children's relationship with food is healthy because I get them into the kitchen,” she said. 'I let them chop with me, we talk about what herbs are.'

“I think it's important to really involve your kids in the things you do,” Hudson continued. “There's no chef in my house.”

Kate and Danny – who welcomed their daughter Rani in 2018 – got engaged in September 2021.

The proposal was four years in the making when they began their romantic relationship in 2016.

The couple knew each other for 15 years before they started dating, as he is the stepbrother of her best friends Sara and Erin Foster.
