The Princess of Wales is known for her love of high street fashion, especially when choosing which jewelery to combine with an outfit.

During royal visits at home and abroad, Kate has proven her ability to work with both designer and budget brands, often pairing glamorous designer outfits with more understated earrings.

From attending glitzy events like the BAFTAs to greeting important heads of state, the princess has been spotted sporting jewelery from Zara, H&M and Accessorize.

Abroad, she’s pictured wearing colorful jewelery from local designers, with some earrings costing as little as £5 a pair.

Earlier this year in February, the high street princess wore a pair of £18 earrings from Zara, which she paired with a one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress.

The pair of gold flower earrings, described by the retailer as ‘flower-shaped metal dangle earrings with rhinestone appliqué’ and have a ‘push-back clasp’, cost less than £20.

The Princess of Wales arrived at her Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in December looking immaculately polished, wearing a burgundy coat dress believed to be designed by London-based designer Eponine.

However, regal eagle-eyed viewers would have noticed when she stepped outside for the “Together at Christmas” event that she’d paired the elegant outfit with ruby ​​earrings.

Kate, who loves bargains, bought them for £14 from Accessorize, paired with matching gloves, a clutch and a burgundy heel.

On another occasion during the launch of TV presenter Ant McPartlin’s campaign Take Action on Addiction in 2021, she was seen wearing a pair of 14k gold-plated twisted earrings from online retailer ASOS, again costing less than £20.

She paired this with a £845 bespoke red Christopher Kane skirt and a £225 Ralph Lauren jumper, speaking to the presenter about how he was in a ‘bad’ place by the time he sought help for his drug and alcohol problems.

It looks like Kate’s love of high street brands is spreading to other members of the royal family too, with Camilla taking a leaf out of her book.

On other occasions, Kate has supported smaller brands, including Zeen, where she wore some of the designer’s colorful earrings that cost less than £5.

While she is often depicted sporting elements of high street brands, the value of her wardrobe in general skyrocketed in 2022.

The Princess wore an impressive £176,664 worth of new clothes over the year as the pandemic came to an end and regular royal engagements resumed.

It was the Royal’s most expensive year yet, with a host of new outfits on display – beating 2017 when she wore £119,000 worth of new outfits.

This was in stark contrast to 2021, when the royal family totally reduced their new wardrobe and wore £48,845 worth of new clothes.

However, she continued to re-wear and recycle some of her older, more beloved pieces, including staples from Zara, Hobbs, and Mango.
