A-list status! Crazy men catapulted its cast’s careers, inclusive Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Moss, Christina Hendriks And January Jonesto a new level.
The period drama, which centered on a New York City ad agency in the 1960s, aired on AMC for seven seasons from July 2007 to May 2015. During that time, the show and its stars won five Golden Globes, 16 Emmy Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
After the series ended, the cast kept in touch with each other via text message. “We are all on a chain. I was actually there Erin Crabtree Matt Weiner hanging out last night,” Hendricks shared exclusively Us weekly in October 2019. “The holidays [we] always [have] a big one, where everyone writes. Someone will sort of turn it on [text]and it will take about two days.
Although the group remains close, the possibility of a revival is far-fetched, according to the actress. “No, everyone is busy,” she explained.
Hamm agreed in an exclusive interview with Us. “You mean like The division on lifelong? Is that what you’re talking about?” he joked in February 2020 when asked if he would be interested in rebooting one of his past projects. “No is the short answer. But I’m glad I was involved in such a great television program and hopefully I will get involved in another program.
In fact, the actor never even watches old episodes of Crazy men. “No, I take care of myself enough, I don’t have to,” he said Us in January 2017. “I’m away from home and obsessed.”
Hamm added: “It’s always weird. Because you inevitably think something looks awful. Or is terrible. And unfortunately, it’s the internet that points to those things. Very often someone online will tell you that it was [terrible], usually behind an anonymous screen name. I try to stay off the internet because it concerns me.
The Bridesmaids star and his castmates revealed in April 2015 what they took off set when wrapping up filming. “I took nothing but memories with me, and they were delicious too,” he said Us at the time. “Most of it was rented, so if I took it I would literally steal.”
Hendricks kept items from her character Joan’s apartment, including a tray, a photograph, and glasses. “Now they’re in my house and I have to smile every time I see them,” she commented.
As regards John Slaterhe took “the desk lamp from Roger’s office – with permission.”
