West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has attacked BJP for 'not mentioning sita mata enough' and talking only about Lord Ram.

Calcutta: As people across India celebrated Ram Lalla's 'Pran Pratistha' in Ayodhya, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee raised questions about the BJP as the party never mentioned Sita. The rally, which was held by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Monday, culminated at the Park Circus Maidan.

Bengal CM speaks about the mention of Mata Sita

'You never mention Sita. Without Sita, Aries is incomplete. You only talk about Lord Ram but not about Sita; Are you anti-women?” said Mamata Banerjee. Banerjee said this while addressing a gathering of people participating in the all-faith rally (Sanhati rally) in Calcutta.

“When the Babri Masjid was destroyed, more than a thousand people died, but everyone seems to have quickly forgotten that. Yesterday, Abhishek Banerjee stated that he cannot uphold his religion by standing over the dead bodies of so many. I feel the urge to pay tribute to the deceased. Regardless of their religion, we pay tribute to these departed souls.”

TMC's Sanhati Rally

Earlier, the Trinamool Congress party (TMC) said about the All-Faith rally (the Sanhati rally) that the Sanhati rally showed solidarity for all religions.

“Unity is at the core of all religions! Today at the Sanhati rally, massive crowds gathered to express their support for unity of diverse faiths alongside Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. It was a breathtaking sight as people from different backgrounds marched together and showed their solidarity with all religions,” TMC wrote on X.

Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the Sanhati rally will cover mosques, temples, churches and gurdwaras along the way. “Everyone is welcome to participate in the rally. People of all faiths will be present at the meeting,” she said.

'Pran Pratishtha Ceremony' led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Meanwhile, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the new idol of Lord Ram was completed in Ayodhya today.

The Prime Minister, while attending the grand event in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh, said the moment of unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol is not only an occasion of triumph but also of humility.
“This is a moment of celebration and a reflection of the maturity of Indian society. It is an occasion not only of triumph, but also of humility. The history of the world itself is proof that many countries are entangled in their own history and such countries faced difficulties when they tried to solve their problems, but the way our country untied the knots of history is proof that our future will be better. more beautiful than our past,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the construction of the temple, which would “create a firestorm”, is a symbol of peace, patience, harmony and the integration of the country.

“There was also a time when some people said, 'Ram Mandir bana toh aag lag jaegi' (the construction of the temple will create a firestorm). Such people could not understand the purity of India's social spirit. The construction of this temple of Ram Lalla is also a symbol of peace, patience, mutual harmony and coordination in Indian society. We see that this construction does not produce fire, but energy,” he added. The Prime Minister also said that Ayodhya temple is a temple of national consciousness in the form of Ram.
