Ashley Iaconetti is pregnant and expecting baby No. 2 from Jared Haibon
Bachelor in Paradise alums Ashley Iaconetti And Jared Haibon give son Dawson a brother or sister.
Ahead of Iaconetti, 35, announcing her pregnancy on Amazon Live on Monday, Jan. 22, the couple spoke with We weekly about baby No. 2. Iaconetti, who gave birth in July, explained that she experienced a chemical pregnancy for the first time this fall.
'It's a week five miscarriage, where you actually bleed on the day you think you're going to get your period. But I had already had a positive pregnancy test. So for three days I thought I was pregnant,” Iaconetti said Us, adding that she had Dawson, 23 months, bring Haibon a gift box with a positive pregnancy test inside. “And that was cute and it was on video and it was just a cute thing. And then I had the chemical pregnancy. The next month I just wasn't feeling well one night and it was almost my missed period and I thought, 'I'm going to go home and take a pregnancy test.'
Iaconetti showed Haibon the test with a faint line, but he was not entirely convinced. “I was like, 'Jared, if it's weak, it's positive,'” she said, adding that the second revelation was: “[not] very exciting because I did it the month before.
Iaconetti and Haibon married in August 2019 and welcomed Dawson in January 2022.
“I think he will make a fantastic older brother or sister. But I think it will be very bad at first,” Iaconetti admitted Us.
Haibon added that the toddler is mommy's boy.
“Of course I'm jealous. I hang out with him all the time. I take him on one-on-one trips when he's alone with me, he's doing well, he's great. But when it's just the three of us, he doesn't want anything to do with me,” he said before clarifying, “It's not that he doesn't want anything to do with me, but it's like Mom gets chosen every time. '
While Iaconetti previously confessed that she felt “gender disappointment” when she was pregnant with Dawson, she isn't too concerned about the gender of baby No. 2.
“I could care less,” she said, confirming that the duo will find out soon. “I've gone through phases where I knew I was pregnant for about the first month and thought, 'I can't even imagine a girl.' Do I want a girl?' And then I kind of changed from where I was like, 'No, I really want a girl. I can't imagine not having a daughter at some point.' And then I want [Jared] to be a girl daddy and I just need someone subdued, a little less wild.
“We love Dawson so much, but that boy won't stop,” Haibon added. “And then, my niece, we go out to dinner and she's sitting there. She's looking around, she's doing her thing and Dawson is throwing things around.”
Whether baby No. 2 is a boy or a girl, it will be the last for the couple.
“We're almost done with it,” she said, adding that the last time she gave birth she had an “amazing experience.” “I can only hope it goes exactly the same and it just scares me a bit [when] I'll talk to you [friends who say], 'Every birth is different, every pregnancy is different.' I have a few friends who had a worse experience the second time around, but I don't have that energy there. I manifest a good delivery again.”
However, Iaconetti and Haibon's collaboration with Amazon has only just begun.
“Amazon is just a lifesaver. It could be the greatest innovation of our lifetimes,” said Haibon. “I mean, think about it – think about what parents had to go through before Amazon existed.”
