Marcus Rasford has been spotted dancing at an exclusive beach bar-restaurant in Cannes as his England teammates prepare for the European Championships after missing out on a place in the squad.

Onlookers said the 26-year-old had gone out for dinner with up to 12 friends at Baoli restaurant, where they said he spent around £3,700 on drinks and food on Saturday.

The trendy beach bar is the nightclub among the elite and is said to be a favorite spot Eva MendesJay Z and U2 frontman Bono.

Diners said the £325,000-a-week star was apparently unaffected Gareth Southgate‘s snap as he laughed and danced for three hours before leaving and heading to the club at the same location at 1am.

A fellow diner said he recognized Rashford’s luxury Richard Mille watch.

He said: ‘When I was him I was like ‘holy shit, that’s Marcus Rashford’.

‘As soon as I saw him raise his hand and I saw the watch and chain, I knew it was him.

‘It didn’t seem to bother him that he wasn’t in the England squad.

“He walked around the restaurant all night, with the help of management and a bodyguard, I think.”

The Manchester United winger was not even included in the preliminary 33-man squad for Euro 2024 in Germany when it was announced in May, with uncapped players Jarrad Branthwaite, Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah and Adam Wharton instead.

Rashford has endured a difficult campaign for Erik ten Hag’s side in the 2023/24 season, with just seven goals and two assists in the Premier League after a hugely impressive 2022/23 campaign.

That disappointing campaign meant he didn’t even make the Three Lions training camp squad ahead of the European Championship this summer.

Rashford took to Instagram immediately after the announcement and simply said: ‘I wish Gareth and the boys all the best for the upcoming tournament.’

Diners said the £325,000-a-week star was seemingly unbothered by Gareth Southgate's criticism as he laughed and danced for three hours before leaving and heading to the club at the same venue at 1am.

Southgate, who has handed the 26-year-old 57 of his 60 caps, revealed the decision was a difficult one but insisted Rashford’s omission was solely down to his performances on the pitch.

“These are obviously difficult decisions,” the England manager said. “We are talking about players who are very good and who have been an important part of what we have done in recent years.

“With Marcus I just feel like players have had better seasons in that part of the field, it’s as simple as that.”

Rashford’s off-the-field antics have also been called into question by his infamous tequila bender in Belfast, which saw him left out of Man United’s squad for the FA Cup tie with Newport County.

Rashford, who has been praised for his charity work in recent years and was even awarded an MBE for his efforts to tackle food poverty, is said to have downed shots of tequila during a 12-hour drunken trip to the Northern Irish capital in January.

The trip was made to visit his friend and former Untied youngster Ro-Shaun Williams, who had just signed for Larne FC.

A waitress, who claims she was invited by the England star, said he was so drunk at the end of the night that he dropped wads of cash in front of her in his five-star hotel room, moments before she was forced to put him to bed after he fainted.

Speaking to The Sun, Sarah Adair claimed Rashford, who is reportedly paid £325,000 a week, invited her on the ‘weird’ night out saying he was ‘clearly on a mission to get drunk’.

The footballer, who was pictured dining with his high school sweetheart fiancée Lucia Loi in November, months after they split, was also said to have been spotted arguing with a French woman in a nightclub.

In chaotic scenes, the ace threw the brunette’s clothes into the hallway after she accused him of cheating on her.

Shocked guests at the five-star hotel in Northern Ireland said they were woken by the irate woman when Rashford ordered her to leave their room.

Rashford’s mystery companion accused him of kissing another woman at a nightclub earlier in the evening.

Witnesses told MailOnline that she grabbed her belongings from the hallway floor, marched to reception and demanded a separate room from the Premier League star.
