However, some fans joked that Zuckerberg is “cursed” after Volkanovski was knocked out in the second round by Ilia Topuria.

The technical genius also looked a little uncomfortable as he joined Volkanovski and his team in the octagon.

Zuckerberg hugged the Australian and then stood awkwardly as members of Volkanovski's team passed around clothes.

He looked out of place, prompting ridicule from fans watching from home, some of whom pointed out that Zuckerberg is “cursed” for also dating Israel Adesanya before losing to Sean Strickland.

One fan responded saying: “Dude is so awkward.”

Another added: “And Volk got KO'ed. Zuck is a curse!”

And a third wrote: “Mark Zuckerberg's curse is real.”

Volanovski, 34, had successfully defended his UFC featherweight title five times before Zuckerberg came along.
