“Mom, you can't wear crop tops,” my teenager says, but I wear what I want

Even though her daughter didn't think her outfit was appropriate, a mother refused to change.

She said that when it comes to fashion, she wears what she wants, when she wants.

Amber colored (@amberaug) shared the video with more than 75,000 TikTok followers.

She stood in her kitchen showing off her outfit for the day.

The feisty parent wore a black crop top with ripped jeans, a flannel and sneakers.

Although Amber was completely satisfied with the outfit, her daughter had a lot to say about it.

Amber recalled the comments the embarrassed teen made.

“Teen: Mom, you can't wear crop tops…” she said.

Amber didn't seem to think there was a problem with the way she dressed.

“Me: All the cool kids do it…” she said.

“This is my outfit for today. If you don't like it, you can leave. Okay, I love you!”

People were proud of her for standing up for herself, even if it was against her own daughter.

Many did not believe that fashion should be limited to age.

“You are the hottest mom,” said one commenter.

“Cute,” another agreed.
