A mom decided to save on the dishes by dumping an entire spaghetti dinner on the kitchen table — and her kids thought she was “collapsing.”

Hannah Levine, 30, was told to “throw dinner on the table” and took the instruction quite literally when she served spaghetti to her daughter Willow, 10, and son Oakley.

Footage shows the stunned children as Mrs. Levine puts pasta, then sauce and meatballs on the dining room table as Willow and her five-year-old son watch.

The 10-year-old, from Dunmow in Essex, is heard asking, “What are you doing?” before her mother explains that tonight will be a ‘nice dinner’.

They quickly dig in, leaving their knives and forks behind, and the family’s three Yorkshire Terriers also scrambled onto the table to join the unusual meal.

Miss Levin said the fully vegan meal cost around £10 to make and the hack meant it only took ’30 seconds’ to clean up with no washing up required.

The mother-of-two said the hack also helped her encourage her kids to eat more at dinner.

‘IIt was really a joke. I told my husband dinner was ready and he said ‘throw it on the table and I’ll be right there,’ so I did,” she said.

‘She [my kids] loved it and finally gave up on cutlery and it was free for all.’

Before calling her kids down for dinner, Mrs. Levine laid two disposable tablecloths and aluminum foil on the table to protect the surface and keep the food warm.

She said her family dI didn’t know what she was going to do and they thought she was having a ‘breakdown’ when she started tipping their tea across the table.

The cleaner added, “When I first poured the spaghetti on the table, they said, “Mom, what are you doing?”.

“When I put the sauce on the table, my daughter thought I was collapsing. My son wondered why there were no plates.’

She said, “I usually make a big dinner and my husband takes the leftovers to work the next day.

“On this occasion, my dogs joined in and ate what was left over and the rest went in the bin.

“My kids were so distracted by the fun of this tea, they tucked in and ate more than usual.

“It became a challenge between them who could eat the most from the table.”

After serving the spaghetti meal, Hannah shared her fun tea time activity with her friends and posted a video of her child’s reactions to the “plateless” meal on Facebook.

The mother said: ‘When I posted the video on Facebook and sent it to some of my friends, I got mixed reactions back.

“Some said it looked really nice and others said they wouldn’t do it in their house because of the mess, but there’s actually less mess at this diner because it’s so easy to clean up.”

“It looks messier than it is, but it’s actually very easy to clean up.”
