Mother Jaskirat Kaur appears in court accused of murdering 10-year-old daughter after ‘fun’ youngster found dead at home
A mother has appeared in court charged with the murder of her ten-year-old daughter, who was found dead at home.
Shay Kang was discovered at the property in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, on Monday afternoon.

Her mother Jaskirat Kaur appeared in Wolverhampton Crown today Court accused of murder.
The 33-year-old, who also goes by the name Jasmine Kang, spoke only during the brief hearing to confirm identity.
No pleas were entered and she was taken into custody next one will appear before the same court on April 22.
The horror then unfolded Police were called home after a welfare officer could not get an answer.
Shay’s cause of death has not been confirmed and an autopsy will take place in due course.
Tributes have poured in for the youngster, who was a pupil at Brickhouse Primary School.
The school said in a statement: ‘Shay was a bright, happy and cheerful child who was loved by all and she will be dearly missed by all.
“School is the heart of the community and we have already started working with our children and staff to support them following this devastating situation news.”
Shay’s godmother Kayleigh Colclough also opened up about her pain in a heartbreaking tribute.
She wrote: “I will miss you girl. My heart hurts.
“I’m not sure how I feel. I feel sick, numb, angry and a failure. I am completely broken.
“I’m so sorry, girl. I will miss you forever, but remember that I will bring you justice.”
