“It's like Christmas in February,” exclaim Nintendo fans at two major Switch reveals

AFTER weeks of rumors, Nintendo has shocked fans by announcing not one but two Directs.

While everyone expected one to drop straight away soon, it's rare to have two in one week.

Major Pokémon announcements are expected during the PresentsCredit: The Pokemon Company

The first direct that will appear is a Nintendo Showcase for direct partnerswhich will last 25 minutes.

A Partner Showcase will showcase third-party games, meaning there won't be any first-party games like Super Mario or Kirby.

Exclusive Xbox games are expected to be shown, now coming to Nintendo Switch.

Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment are the two top contenders for Switch ports, but nothing has been confirmed.

The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase takes place on Wednesday February 21, 2024 bee 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm UK time.

The next Direct to be released in a week is a Pokémon gifts to celebrate Pokémon Day.

This showcase will not only focus on upcoming Pokémon games and events, but also other Pokémon products.

Pokémon merchandise, movies and TV shows will also likely appear at the event.

In particular, we expect the announcement of a new Pokémon movie after the success of Detective Pikachu and the Super Mario Bros. movie.

The Pokémon Presents will air next week Tuesday February 27, 2024 bee 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm UK time.

This is just six days after the first Nintendo Direct, which gave us two showcases in just one week.

It's very rare to have two major showcases so close together, and Switch owners were shocked by the announcement.
