A pair of Norland Nannies have shared insights into their lives a year after graduating.

Two unnamed twin sisters, who graduated from the prestigious university in Bath last year, have unveiled their new luxury lifestyle as travel au pairs.

Norland College trains the famous uniform-wearing Norland Nannies, loved by celebrities and royalty. The 130-year-old institution is the smallest undergraduate degree-awarding institution in Britain.

Graduates of the four-year course are targeting the super elite, including Maria Borallo, Prince William’s Norland Nanny, and Kate Middleton, who has been with the family since Prince George, now ten, was eight months old.

Now, two Norland nannies have taken to TikTok to share fragments of their lavish lifestyles as they babysit for glamorous families around the world, and viewers are in awe.

Throughout the course, students will learn skills more commonly associated with James Bond than Mary Poppins, including escape car driving and martial arts.

However, the Norwood twins appear to have been enjoying a luxurious year, rather than fending off kidnappers or paparazzi.

On TikTok, the twins shared a series of clips reflecting their lives after completing the four-year course.

The graduates posed proudly in their Norland uniforms – striking brown dresses with white collars and gloves, next to the caption: “My life since graduating from Norland College (one year ago).”

Firstly, the twins said they had moved from Britain to live in glamorous Beverly Hills, sharing a clip of the famous palm tree-lined road near Sunset Boulevard.

The nannies then revealed that they have “worked on multiple superyachts” and “flown on loads of private jets.”

In addition to luxury transportation, the sisters have experienced the “most amazing ceiling view in Rome,” as well as traveling to Morocco and going skiing.

The graduates also had the opportunity to travel around Italy and visit a pink sand beach, perhaps the famous Italian beach Spiaggia Rosa.

The pair teased in the caption, “Not even all of it, want a part 2?”

The video has since racked up over 20,000 likes and viewers are beyond impressed with the work. One said: ‘As a resident of Bath, proud of you! Well done!’

A second added: “Live your best life. Well done. I’m making some great memories for however long this career decides for you.”

A third wrote: ‘I’m living the very best life.’

Another said: ‘I worked as a nanny for over twenty years, no Norland but loved it. What a rewarding job.’

A fifth added: ‘I love this for you! Many congratulations.’

It comes after the iconic institution was given the power to award bachelor’s degrees in 2019, just before the pandemic. It is now the smallest institution awarding bachelor’s degrees in Britain.

In addition to a BA (Hons) in Early Years Development and Learning, graduates receive the prestigious Norland Diploma and work on the job for a year before officially graduating.

The 141st class of Norland Nanny students – known as Set 41 – took their place in history on April 1 last year.

Speaking on the occasion, Norland Principal Dr Janet Rose said: “We are incredibly proud to see our very first students graduate with a Norland-awarded degree.

“This event represents a significant milestone in our 130-year history and demonstrates how Norland continues to lead the way in raising the status and value of the childcare profession.

‘Norland’s unrivaled reputation for early years is now matched by the privileges and responsibilities of the degree-awarding authority.’

Norland also unveiled its new weapon during the historic event. The heraldic design features a golden guardian owl sitting in its nest of three owls.

More than 150 students from sets 41 and 42 attended the Norland graduation ceremonies at the Celtic Manor International Conference Centre.

Norland students complete two courses over four years full-time: a three-year full-time BA (Hons) in Early Years Development and Learning in addition to the prestigious Norland Diploma.

Plus a full-time one-year probationary nanny position, the Newly Qualified Nanny (NQN) year, which is employed.

The NQN year is the final module of the diploma and all students must successfully complete not only their diploma, but also each part of the Norland diploma in order to use the professional title ‘Norlander’ or ‘Norland Nanny’, such as the full qualified graduates of the school are known. .

The training is unique to Norland.

It draws on approaches from many disciplines, including psychology, child health, philosophy, social sciences, literature and education.

Modules include safeguarding and child protection, promoting health and wellbeing, understanding children’s behavior and working with families and communities.

Running alongside the degree, and for a fourth year after completion of the degree, is the prestigious Norland Diploma, which prepares students for work with families and the practical aspects of children’s care, learning and development in the early years.

Modules include Communication in Practice, Food and Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing, Play and Learning, and Sewing.

Students learn additional professional skills necessary to work with children, including good timekeeping, teamwork, excellent communication skills, and respect and love for children.

Students spend approximately 50 percent of their time (minimum 1,216 internship hours) at Norland interning in various childcare settings, including daycare centers, schools, hospitals, special education schools, and as daily and live-in nannies.

Students gain additional skills and experience as part of Norland’s value-added curriculum.
