Shoppers discover budget-friendly Android phone with tons of battery life
SHOPPERS are excited about a powerful Android smartphone that most people have never heard of.
The device was made by the Chinese company Nubia, which previously recruited footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (39) to promote the virtually unknown brand.
Nubia's latest device, the Z60 Ultra 5G, is largely praised among professional reviewers for its mega battery and excellent cameras.
And regular users who already own the smartphone have shared a similarly positive response.
“It lasts two days with heavy use, fully charged yesterday at noon and 20 minutes ago it was still at 43% when I put it back on charge but only because I went out,” wrote one buyer on HotUKDeals.
Another user on Reddit who has had it for over a month said: “There isn't really anything I don't like, when I press to find one it's just the feeling that the volume buttons are different for Samsung and I often press up instead of down but like I said, if I have to find something I don't like!
“It's a great phone and I'm very happy with it, the battery is class! Game space and how to change settings is also a great edition.”
Nubia Z60 Ultra 5G – the tech bits
The Nubia Z60 Ultra 5G was only announced in December and there is already a discount.
The battery is one of the standout features at a whopping 6,000 mAh, dwarfing the iPhone 15 Pro Max's 4,441 mAh.
Moreover, the phone supports 80W wired fast charging, so you can get a lot of juice on board in a short time.
But all that power comes at a price – and by that we mean weight. The Z60 Ultra 5G weighs a hefty 246 grams, which is 25 grams heavier than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The device has 256GB and runs on the latest premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which should keep things super smooth.
On the back there are three cameras for your photos – including a 50-megapixel primary snapper, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
“80W charging makes it more or less the perfect phone for the battery,” the user added.
