Arena Flowers removes the spines so that rejected loners no longer have to endure 'pricks'.

The tongue-in-cheek giveaway takes place in the run-up to Valentine's Day – perhaps the most difficult time of the year for anyone who has recently dealt with heartbreak.

Freddie Blackett, from Arena Flowers, said: “There are enough dicks in the world without having them in the house this month.

“Valentine's Day can be a difficult time, and we are particularly moved by the recent high-profile heartbreak that was featured on the front and back pages of the newspapers.

“We know that people may not want to engage with Valentine's Day because of bad memories and hurt feelings.

“Our 'injection-free' offer is our little reminder that you can treat yourself to a bouquet that comes without any contact with an injection.”

The free-to-order, puncture-free roses are available online from February 5 to 13.

A limited number of bouquets are made available online every day, reserved exclusively for victims of cheaters and ghosters.

More than 100 bunches of roses will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

For customers who want to keep a memento of their cheating ex, the florist provides a box of shots, stripped of the roses.

Freddie Blackett, from Arena Flowers, added: “This little box of jabs will be available to do whatever the person sees fit, whether that's re-gifting it, scattering it in a memorable place, or simply holding it as a souvenir.”

An additional product that you can receive for free is a 'prick stripper', with which the recipient can remove thorns from the flowers he has at home for the rest of the year.
