A German social media star known as the world’s most famous perfume influencer is at the center of a scandal after he was pictured laughing with two controversial right-wing figures.

Former Big Brother contestant Jeremy Fragrance, also known as Daniel Sredzinski or Daniel Schütz, is a self-proclaimed millionaire who has risen to fame with his energetic reviews of popular fragrances.

The 34-year-old, who was born in Oldenburg, Germany and had a failed pop career before becoming a fragrance influencer, has 1.3 million followers on Instagram and an impressive 7.6 million on TikTok.

His quirky videos once impressed former Pakistani president and cricketer Imran Khan so much that he was invited to visit the country; Another video posted last summer shows the fragrance guru declaring he’s “friends” with actor Charlie Sheen.

Bottles are only sold online on the website he owns, fragrance.one, with a bundle of three bottles, Date, Office and Black Tie, currently on sale in the UK for the retail price of £599.

Jeremy Fragrance’s ambition is likely to see him through the threat of cancellation, a perfume industry colleague has suggested.

CEO of Spanish perfume brand Huéleme Mucho, Juan López Becerril, told El Pais that the social media star’s relentless ambition will likely keep him in the public eye: ‘He has always wanted to be famous and he is doing everything he can to make it profitable’ .

The CEO said Fragrance “works like a fool” and revealed, “I once asked him if he didn’t get tired of getting up at five in the morning and doing push-ups.” His response was: “The Ferrari doesn’t pay for itself.”
