Prem's fastest player revealed with Kyle Walker replaced by shockstar

KYLE WALKER is a shocking omission from the list of fastest Premier League players this season.

The right-back has topped the charts in recent years but has been replaced by some new faces.

Four of the seven fastest players are newcomers to the Premier League, while the third fastest star Pedro Neto suffered a long-term injury last season.

Walker had recorded the fastest speed since 2020-2021 with a speed of 37.31 km/h.

But that has now been supplemented by Tottenham central defender Micky van de Ven.

That means the Dutchman has recorded the fastest speed this season, guiding Luton star Chiedozie Ogbene to first place, while the Hatters winger achieved a speed of 36.93 km/h.

Two more Prem newcomers round out the top five: Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai and Burnley's Dara O'Shea.

They reached speeds of 36.76km/h and 36.73km/h respectively – fractionally faster than Newcastle speedster Anthony Gordon.

Everton midfielder Amadou Onana rounds out the top seven, leaving no room for Walker.

Fans were surprised to see the miss, but weren't shocked to see Van de Ven top the list.

One fan responded, saying: “Van de Ven is the fastest I've ever seen play for Spurs – and I watched Kyle Walker for seven years. Just pray for those hammies.”

Van de Ven has impressed since joining Spurs last summer and was sorely missed after suffering a hamstring tear in the 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in November.
