“I will always be Quaden and always have the same vibe, the same me,” he told ABC’s Australian story.

‘But when it comes to that industry, I’m a completely different person. I’m ready to act. Turn me on. I’m ready now.’

Quaden said he also kept his options open and even considered becoming a comedian, sports commentator or energy company employee like his father.

“That would probably be my little thing, like a side job,” he said.

Quaden gained international recognition after his mother posted a disturbing video of him on social media in February 2020.

The viral video showed the young boy sobbing uncontrollably and asking for a knife to kill himself after bullies pushed him to his limits.

Quaden said the video changed him a lot, but also opened the door for him to pursue acting.

The video also caught the attention of Miller, who has directed the entire Mad Max franchise, who was motivated to offer Quaden a role in the upcoming film.

He said the boy was among a “number of exceptional people” he met during his career and that he would be happy to work with him again.

“Something about Quaden really resonated, I was struck by his behavior from the start,” Miller said.

‘He clearly radiates charisma.’

The Oscar-winning director said Quaden was a perfect fit for the Mad Max world.

“Everyone has to endure the darkness in some sense for there to be change and light and I think Quaden’s story is a little mini version of that,” Miller said.

Miller also reminisced about his last on-set interaction with Quaden, who told him, “Thanks… You’re cool.”

“It blew me away,” said the renowned director.

Quaden revealed that he found the red carpet experience “incredible” compared to where he was years before.

“That was cool because they were like, ‘Here please, here, here, come to me,’” he said.

His mother, Yarraka, said she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as her son was on the red carpet.

“Just to see him on stage, to see how far he’s come and how he’s been able to overcome all those adversities and use that as ammunition, it was very surreal,” she said.
