Máxima, mother of three, kept the cold out with a chic gray coat that was tight around the waist.

The royal family visited student studios and viewed the designs of students who had almost completed the program.

The Design Academy trains designers and is internationally highly regarded with 800 students from more than 50 countries taking courses.

It was a busy week for Maxima when she visited Almere Haven in the Almere district on Wednesday.

Máxima combined her beige double-breasted coat from Italian designer Max Mara with a brown wool dress from Greek designer Zeus+Dione, both of which she has worn before.

The monarch showed off her creative side when she joined a craft club during the visit, which focused on learning about community initiatives in the area.

Known for her love of elaborate millinery, it was no surprise that the Queen jokingly placed a mini hat-shaped key ring on her head.

She also visited the organization Senior Live and the De Meergronden school community to view student artwork, and ended her day with a meeting at the Corrosia Community Center.

Máxima, mother of three, warmly dressed in a pair of sloppy brown leather boots.

She added a touch of glamor to her daytime look with a pearl bracelet, featuring a charm of her first initial, and a large ring with an amber stone.

Always radiantly regal thanks to her broad smile and bronzed complexion, Máxima beamed as she visited a number of projects intended to strengthen relationships between neighbors in Almere Haven.

Wearing tortoiseshell glasses, she joined a group of elderly residents for a knitting session, which she seemed to find very entertaining.

Máxima was photographed laughing hysterically as she showed off her creative side to make a brightly colored keychain.

You can also see her smiling as she places a small knitted hat on her head.

Wednesday's light-hearted outing comes a day after Máxima visited the VieCuri Medical Center in the province of Limburg.

On Tuesday, she looked the epitome of style and sophistication in a gold top with an animal print, paired with a knee-length pencil skirt in charcoal gray.

With temperatures still below 10 degrees Celsius, the radiant queen wore a matching cape resting on her shoulders.
