For the past week, the city has been on the lookout for the potentially dangerous cat that appears to have fallen into a tank of toxic chemicals at the factory, Nomura Plating Corporation, and then escaped, darting across a darkened factory site and into the city. big.

Officials have contacted the city council, school board and daycare centers to warn them of the possible risk.

Motonari Ibaraki, a representative of Nomura Plating, said the prints near the tank were spotted by an employee who arrived at work Monday morning and that security video showed the cat fleeing the factory around 9:30 the night before.

Charles Woodburn revealed that BAE's share performance languished for years as ESG-obsessed British funds shunned the company.

But US investors appeared not to be as concerned with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) considerations, meaning BAE's US rivals are much more highly valued.

Mr Woodburn said there has now been a “reappraisal of ESG in light of the tragic conflict in Ukraine”.

He told The Sun: “Democracy and freedom of speech require a strong defense structure.”

Mr Woodburn said he was pleased that BAE remains listed on the London stock exchange, despite earning most of its revenue abroad.

And despite only four of BAE's top 15 investors being British, he said: “We've closed that valuation gap.”

The chief's comments came as BAE revealed a record £55 billion backlog of orders from governments due to the “heightened threat environment” globally following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

BAE won new contracts worth £38 billion last year, including contracts related to the UK's nuclear deterrent submarines.

The company is also ramping up production of so-called 'shoot and scoot' towed artillery guns.

BAE said last month it has restarted production of Britain's M777 howitzer, some of which have been donated to Ukraine.

BAE, which hired 7,000 staff last year, recorded a nine percent increase in annual turnover to £25.3 billion.

And it expects sales to rise 12 percent this year thanks to new orders for fighter jets, combat vehicles and weapons.

NASA is on alert as an asteroid the size of a football field is set to zoom past Earth this week

NASA has its eyes on a “potentially dangerous” near-Earth asteroid with a diameter of 250 meters – about the size of a football stadium.

Asteroid 2008 OS7 will make its closest pass to Earth on Friday, February 2.

However, the closest approach will be no closer than 1,770,000 miles from Earth.

The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Asteroid Watch website has outlined the giant space rock as something to watch.

Will I be able to see asteroid 2008 OS7?

Amateur astronomers will have to retreat, however, because 2008 OS7 will not be visible to the naked eye or with the average telescope.

According to Dr. Kim, “Unfortunately, asteroids are generally too faint to be detected with current techniques and surveys, so it is very difficult to see them with the naked eye.”

“The only asteroids visible to the naked eye so far are Pallas and Vesta, with a diameter of about 500 km.”

There are numerous “potentially hazardous asteroids” or PHAs in our solar system.

Dr. Kim explains, 'There are over millions of asteroids in our solar system, of which [roughly] There are 2,350 asteroids classified as PHAs.

“The next major approach to Earth by a PHA will be 99942 Apophis on April 14, 2029.”

As space rocks go, asteroid 2008 OS7 is quite small.

According to Dr. Minjae Kim, Research Fellow in the Department of Physics at Warwick University, called OS7 “a very small asteroid” in 2008.

But because its orbit crosses that of Earth, the asteroid is classified as a “potentially hazardous asteroid (PHA).”

Dr. Kim added: “One of the most intriguing aspects of the 2008 OS7 is its estimated diameter based on its brightness and reflective properties, ranging from 0.221 to 0.494 kilometers.

'This puts it in the category of a small to medium asteroid, about the size of a football field.

“We don't have to worry too much about it as this asteroid will not enter Earth's atmosphere, while it will still approach close to Earth.”

The next time asteroid 2008 OS7 will pass Earth will be in 962 days, when it completes its orbit around the sun.

Delhi airport on alert after Darbhanga-Delhi SpiceJet flight receives hoax bomb threat

New Delhi: National carrier Spicejet received a call on Wednesday about a bomb on the aircraft operating flight SG 8496 from Darbhanga to Delhi. According to the company, the flight landed safely at Delhi airport at 6pm and the plane was moved to a secluded bay. The passengers disembarked safely and the aircraft is being thoroughly searched by security services.

The threat call was received when the flight was about to land at Delhi airport. “Today, a bomb threat was received at the IGI Airport Control Room regarding a flight from Darbhanga to Delhi that was scheduled to land at IGI Airport,” Delhi Police said in a statement.
