Reviewing the first episode of this year's The Apprentice (BBC1) last week, Christopher Stevens suggested here that the class of 2024 might be the dumbest ever. I'm pretty sure tonight's second episode wouldn't have changed his mind.

This week's task was based on what Lord Sugar rather implausibly claimed was 'one of the biggest trends' in Britain today: the unstoppable rise of the mini cheesecake. Each team had to make two batches, one to sell to a corporate customer, the other to the general public – with the team that made the biggest profit being the winners.

For a while the girls got a little bogged down in the argument about how many grams are in a kilogram. But having worked that out, they headed off to meet their customers in London Dungeon, where they managed to negotiate a suitably gruesome price of £13.80 per small pie, promising (not entirely truthfully) that the end result would be worth the effort. would be worth.

Less successful were the boys, whose business clients included the smoothie company Innocent. Innocent's commitment to healthy eating – not a big secret, by any means – was hard to miss from the fruit and vegetable-related decorations that adorned almost every inch of their headquarters. Only after three rejections was he willing to compromise – by offering them chocolate[itals] fruit. Meanwhile, his original price of £9.95 per pie was casually discarded in favor of £6.

Not that Paul appeared to be completely devoid of self-knowledge. After the meeting, which his teammates accurately described as “a car crash,” he admitted that “there may have been some things I hadn't noticed.”

But at least the boys' sales to the public went slightly better, with the cakes sold in a pop-up cafe for £6, £6.50 or £7, depending on which team member sold them and when. The only problem came when a customer said she was a vegetarian and so couldn't eat the gelatin. At that moment she was offered the cake for a fiver.

Compared to all that, the girls did indeed seem like members of Mensa. Yet their victory was almost as easy as the chores performed by Lord Sugar's two assistants.

Once again, all Baroness Karen Brady had to do was lurk and raise an eyebrow every now and then.

Once again, Tim Campbell MBE stuck to his policy of helping us understand exactly what happened, by repeating exactly what we had just seen happen.

And so to the boardroom, where the girls beamed and the boys threw each other under Tooting's number 94.

To his credit, Lord Sugar did a pretty good job of pretending to be concerned about who should be fired.

The Apprentice returned to the BBC on Thursday, but just minutes after the series launched, fans of the show criticized the choice of 'completely unlikely' contestants.

With a host of new hopefuls competing to earn a six-figure salary job from Lord Sugar, viewers were introduced to a British garage artist, two cake company owners, a pharmacist, a yoga teacher and a former NHS doctor .

And shortly after the 18 candidates introduced themselves, fans shared their thoughts on social media, labeling them as “elitist, with the title a***holes.”

During the opening scene, Dr. Asif Munaf that he had “an extremely high IQ, an extremely high bench press” and was “pretty good on the eyes.”

Meanwhile, Foluso Falade claimed she 'didn't need Lord Sugar' but he 'needed her', but viewers were left unconvinced.

Dubbed a 'classic moment' for the quiz show, host Amol Rajan didn't even try to hide his disbelief after both Trinity College, Cambridge and the Open University team served up what could be the highlight of the series.

Halfway through the quarter-final, Rajan asked them to name two countries that belong to both the EU and the Commonwealth.

To his (and everyone else's) surprise, both teams offered Great Britain in response.

ITV bosses have lifted a ban on Love Island contestants keeping their social media profiles for the upcoming All Stars series.

MailOnline can reveal that chefs believe that because the contestants have appeared on the program before, they have experienced the ‘pitfalls and negatives’ associated with using platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.

Sources at the channel say that the stars – who are said to have a choice whether to remain present or not.

It comes after Love Island bosses formally introduced a rule in May last year telling contestants to pause all their social media handles and accounts for the duration of their time on the show to ensure that both the Islanders and their families are protected from the adverse effects. of social media.

One of ABC’s most controversial decisions came before season 28 in the summer of 2019 Sean Spicer was announced as part of the cast. At the time, many celebrities reacted to the news about the former White House press secretary, including the then-host Tom Bergeron.

“A few months ago, over lunch with the new executive producer of DWTS, I made suggestions for season 28,” says the former America’s Funniest Home Videos host tweeted at the time. “Chief among them was my hope that DWTS would succeed [return] after an unprecedented year-long hiatus, this would be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free from inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party. I left that lunch convinced that we were in agreement. Then (and this is quite obvious) it was decided to, as we often say in Hollywood, ‘go in a different direction.’”

Bergeron was let go from the show the following year and replaced by Tyra Banks.

Indian Idol 14: Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna appeared in Indian Idol season 14 after the trailer release. The fantastic response to the trailer came in within minutes of its debut. While netizens are praising Kapoor’s intense role in Sandeep Reddy’s film Vanga, his fans were impressed with his gesture on the reality TV show during its promotions. Besides showing respect to the visually impaired singer, he also revealed an adorable father-daughter thing on the show.

Ranbir Kapoor congratulated the entire cast on the fourteenth season of the renowned singing competition. Menuka Poudel, a visually impaired singer, stole Ranbir Kapoor’s heart with her magical voice. She performed Agar Tum Sath Ho from his film Tamasha. After the musical performance the Rock star actor walked to the stage to congratulate Menuka and ask for her blessings. The actor touched her feet and said, ‘Menuka ji, meernaam Ranbir hai aur mai apsis ashirvad lena chata hu”, followed by a warm hug. He even called her ‘ ‘Devi No. 2’ after Shreya Ghoshal for her beautiful voice.

The video went viral after Ranbir Kapoor’s fans posted heart-eye emojis in the comments section. After her performance, Menuka asked Ranbir Kapoor about the songs he recited for his daughter. She said, “Ranbir sir se mera ek sawal hai, maine sunna hai ap bhot cute or handsome bhi hai, or apke jaise apki beti bhi bhot cute hai, uske sath spend time karte tint uske liye aap kausna gana goes ho? (I heard that you are very handsome and cute, and your daughter is also very cute like you, so I would like to know which two songs you sing when you are with her).”

To her reply, Ranbir replied: “Do gae hai, ek gana hai thoda sa annoying hai called ‘baby shark’, and dusra song hai ‘lalla lalla lori’ (There are two songs, one of which is annoying, namely ‘Baby Shark’ and the second song ‘Lalla lalla lori’).

Shreya Ghoshal, one of the judges of Indian Idol, was amused by his Ranbir Kapoor’s statement. The singer, who is a parent herself, dated Ranbir and highlighted how people’s playlists change when they become parents. She said,”Ranbir ke mooh se ye sunkar main to hairaan hun. Yaha pe to hum relate karte hai. Devyaan ho, Raha ho, saare bacho ke liye humare playlist change ho jaate hai. Sapno mein bhi ye higaane aate hai. (I was surprised when I heard these songs of Ranbir. We can all connect with this. Our playlists for the kids vary, be it Devyaan or Raha. This lullaby even appears in our dreams).”

Netizens were taken aback by Ranbir Kapoor’s heartbreaking gesture of touching Menuka’s feet and seeking her blessings. One fan wrote, “Menuka simply nailed the performance and Ranbir showed why he is the best.” Another user said, “Wow…really heartbreaking…every time I hear Menuka singing and Ranbir’s gesture brought tears to my eyes.” The third fan wrote, “I was totally surprised and didn’t expect to see this side of Ranbir.”
